Hull
Eighth place, four points off them and you don't have to scroll down to see Hull on the table.
Do we have a good chance ?

I really think we can do it despite the ****s in charge.

I don’t think so. We will have another blip between now and the end of the season and I think the others will pull away. If we keep playing this well, I wouldn’t be bothered anyway.

Btw, the poll is open for four months and vote is changeable.
So you can change your mind if the variables vary as the season progresses.

Can we do it ? yes
Will we do it ? only if our starting 11 stay fit or we get some good cover in.

At 3.37 yesterday I was a touch more optimistic.
Depends on transfer window. If we bring in 3 GOOD QUALITY players and ours remain, then we would have a sniff. Our over reliance on younger players as cover was massively exposed yesterday. The second half of the season is as much about squad depth
Need an experienced centre back, a striker (with some pace, to give us an alternative there) and a Harry Wilson esq undiscovered wide forward to rotate Bowen/Turbo and keep them fresh.
Unfortunately that ain't gonna happen

The lads are playing out of their skin with absolutely no depth in the squad. This current run is fantastic but it’s no way sustainable. We know there won’t be any meaningful additions this window so nah, I just can’t see it.
That being said, I’m in no way being negative. If we managed to finish in the top half this season it would be a magnificent achievement given all the behind the scenes **** and the size of the squad. Iv been critical of Nige in the past, but he’s certainly made a few of us eat our words. Long may it continue.

Top 6 in Div 2 is not easy, always remember our revered forward line of Houghton Wagstaff Chilton Butler managed it just once, a mere 5th in 70/71.

Subject to no bad luck with injury / suspension, and no key sales of course, we are only 2 players away from a playoff spot.
Tommy Elphick and Tammy Abraham type players.

Opposition are running scared of Grosicki and Bowen. We 'just' need a CF with some pace, presence & goal scoring ability. A younger FC would be fine, but we obviously can't rely on him week in week out.
CB need speaks for itself after yesterday.
Other areas would benefit from more strength in depth, but the need isn't so great (subject to first sentence) and incumbents are now performing.

Unfortunately I just don't see the owners making it happen.

Could happen, might happen, who knows? Current form suggest we can mix it a bit. A lot really depends on who we have fit and available come the end of this stupid and totally unnecessary transfer window some plug decided the Premier League needed. Not a fan of it and never have been but it can be a get out of jail card for clubs who suddenly realise ten men and his dog won’t cut it at this level.

Couple of games too far of the pace for me. Anyway even if we did go up we'd be stuck with the Allams for a bit longer and they wouldn't spend enough to give us a chance of staying there. I'd rather see the team winning games, with new owners, even if it means staying in the championship. Relegation battles are just so dismal in any league.
