Nobody knows. All the dates given by the FL were provisional (and it said so on the release). They could all be changed due to broadcasters wanting a particular game to be Match A, or if there are stewarding/policing concerns for a particular fixture on a particular date. Any one match being affected by these concerns could also then knock on into moving another one to swap the TV times. So if a manager spends a **** load of money on abysmal players he should be excused not being able to get promotion because fees don't always equal value to performances? We've absolutely ****ed this season up.
No, that wasn't the point I was making. It was stating the "money we've spent on this squad of players" thing banded around isn't as straight forward as some like to believe. It's not the team that spends the most which goes up.
Yes, I was just 'having a lend' Bruce. Very disappointing imo. I know that Steve Bruce and his team brought Akpom and Diomande in to work with and off Abel but it simply hasn't worked. We can only dream as to what Andre Gray may or may not have done and what Powell might have done if not for injuries. We looked to have this league by the proverbial b@lls not long ago but boy did it go pear-shaped and right at the wrong moment (forgive the pun)!
I haven't really seen much of Diomande, not that anyone has, but the bits I have seen, I thought he had decent pace & a nice touch/flick on. Hopefully we'll go with 2 strikers for the remainder of the games, they'll get a good rapport & we'll go up, more than likely via the playoffs!
Remarkable implies impressive. There is nothing impressive about this squad falling from 1st to clinging onto the play offs.
You've just listed four clubs who have underachieved this season, I'm not sure that helps your point any, they will all see this season as anything but remarkable.
Man City won the League Cup! For a club that has spent time in the lower divisions that's a remarkable season.
These players haven't got the bottle for the playoffs. We won't go up on this form. We'll lose a load of 'good' players at the end of the season and struggle to replace them as we won't get the investment. The squad will slowly get poorer season by season as the better players leave. We'll be league one or lower championship regulars within five years and won't have to worry about moving or extending the stadium. On the bright side, a lot of you seem to want to be in the lower leagues so at least some fans will be happy.
Disappointing tubby that you are getting called for sticking up for the club on a forum set up for Hull City supporters. Too many of the people who now follow the club seem to have spent too much time watching Sky Sports and adopt an overly-analytical mindset, so that they can signal their in-depth knowledge by picking the bones out of our failings, which for them seems to take priority over getting behind the club. We are where we are. If you hate Bruce, hate our tactics, have seen your predictions come true etc etc, then at what point do you put that aside now that we look to be in with a chance of promotion via the playoffs? How many weeks/months do you spend sulking and posting poisonous jibes about it all before you think "**** it, get behind the club, we can still do it"? Maybe tubby is saying instead of whinging what might have been, focus on what is still possible- something we've achieved only twice in 112 years, and something after this season, if we fail, might not be available for years to come. Stop carping and carpe diem.
Should we go to the Premier League this season I would have to change EVERYTHING to OPTUS in order to watch them. This would cost me an arm and a leg and the quality I got from OPTUS (when least I was with them) was, as they say in Germany, Scheiße Haus! So I won't be changing over. Should we stay in the Championship then there is word that SKY has bought the rights from Beinsports to broadcast these games. However, when I joined Bein sports before the beginning of this season (so I could watch Hull City) I found that they spoke with fork tongue as Hull City 'live' games have been few, far between and (as they say in Germany) the reception was twice as Scheiße Haus! It will be interesting to see just how many Championship games are broadcast each weekend next season as if I can only watch Hull City once every three weeks then I shall pull out altogether.
I quoted olm's post where he also ridiculed the notion that man city fans would be ok with their season. But ok mate.
People are behind the club at games, but air their views on what's wrong on message boards, exactly as it should be.
