How can Moyes possibly motivate them for this game, as said Swansea will have a harder task in the last game as it's at New Roker Park Silva will have us prepared and at it.. 3-0
Didn't we play Burnley the week after they were officially relegated in 2015, and lost to them 0-1 at the KC? Never count your chickens, lads. I am confident Silva will have the squad in the right frame of mind to win, and win handily, against Sunderland.
The problem with the Southampton game was not playing 2 strikers, I pray we do on Saturday, especially at home

Moyes has been considering his next move since the drop became official and close pals say he may quit, possibly by the end of the week. Daid Moyes and his Sunderland side were relegated after loss to Bournemouth on Saturday The Scot, 54, met Black Cats chairman Ellis Short in London yesterday along with chief executive Martin Bain, with his future top of the agenda. Sources close to Moyes reveal he is so low that he is poised to leave – but he would miss out on a pay-off he if resigns. Black Cats owner Ellis Short has met with Moyes to discuss his future The former Everton and Manchester United boss feels he did not get a chance to sign the players he wants but is also willing to take his share of the responsibility. Moyes and his staff have been looking at players for the Championship campaign next season. But over the past few week his stance has altered – with the reaction of fans, who have now turned on him, is also a factor in his thinking. The row over his 'slap' remark to a female BBC reporter has not played a part although he may yet be punished by the FA. Moyes called Saturday’s 1-0 defeat to Bournemouth, which confirmed relegation, as his “worst day” in football. But he insisted it would not keep him down for too long. He said: “There have been a lot of good managers relegated and I’ll use it as something to motivate myself. “But I really hoped that this situation wouldn’t come.”
also in 2010 (I think..) we lead 1-0 after a Kilbane header and ended up losing 4-1.. all these Burnley blues keep coming back, Geovanni's wonderful free-kick which was over-ruled by the ref..
A mate of mine - Gillingham fan - just went through similar time: draw for the Gills and a draw for Port Vale. Gillingham stay up. Like me/us, he was ****ting...
The Sunderland game is an odd one in our situation. How do you beat a team without crushing their spirit for the next game? Maybe a a hard fought 3-2 win would be the best result.
Always a strange game when playing a team relegated and the pressure is off but but they are at the bottom for a reason we have to go to this game grateful after all the problems we had through Ehab that we are in with a chance, I think many of us a few months back thought we would be in Sunderland's position now and we all know the reason for that, how ever here we are and in with a great chance so go Saturday back the team and let the lads do the rest. Enjoy
If we don't beat Sunderland we deserve to be relegated. They are an abysmal team and their only modicum of motivation was ripped from their pathetic claws last weekend. We need to be ruthless and treat them like the hopeless, laughable set of low price, back street window lickers that they are.
