So Stevie Bruce, how about extending your contract?

What's the story with this rolling 1 year contract ? Is it something done when 1 or both parties expect the contract to end in the near future ? Less compo to pay. Not trying to rock the boat, just seems odd to me.

I think we signed him to a 2 year deal initially. Perhaps there was a rolling 1 year deal on it depending upon performance or something.

    Edit:

It was a 3 year contract. The rolling thing is still probably dependent upon performance.

Think his performance justifies a new proper contract. We sign players who are given longer contracts, still seems odd

I would think it will be taken care of before the season starts. If I was him I would want to wait and see who the Allams allowed him to bring in.

I guess SB knew all about this uncertainty and entering the final year of his contract I guess he'll leave his options open until later in the season. Who can blame him?

As mentioned plenty of times on this forum I rekon his next move could be to Newcastle. I hope I'm wrong.

Someone came in for Steve Bruce this summer and he knocked it back according to Burnsy on RH this morning.

Anyone any idea who it was?
