We get this a lot from other team's fans. We're not really being arrogant or cocky. We're just reveling in the fact that our team picks up points and at the same time playing attractive brand of football, and naturally feeling optimistic about the coming game. I'm sure it's perfectly understandable.
Their's a lot of positivity on your board as well, not surprised as you have a very decent team playing good footer. I always think Saints are going to win regardless of who we are playing, don't think I am being arrogant, just following my team?
No it's not understandable. You saints fans are so nice and polite its ****ing unnerving. I think you all sacrifice goats to satan pre match to gain his blessing and favour, hiding it behind your modest, polite and kindly personas. I've got my eye on you lot...
Well that's very nice of you to be pleasant to us? incidentally I have not sacrificed any goats for ages, I am more into sheep fiddling.
You and I have a lot in common, Dell Boy. Do stop by after tomorrow's match. We shall smother ourselves in Roquefort and partake in an ovine three-way.
I met Les Reed at a football seminar in Kansas City a few years back when he was with the FA. He seemed a pretty decent guy. He was with Howard Wilkinson who was so ****ing miserable and sarcastic that he had me in stitches. He was getting ready for a session and he was putting band aids on his feet. Someone asked, "Are you putting them on both feet?" Wilkinson gave the guy a contemptuous look and replied in a broad accent, "I ****ing walk on both of them, don't I?"
