Again mistakes. It was the cover up and attempt to pass blame that must be addressed.

    Spot on dave.<ok>

Plus lets not forget that the major roadworks on the 62 played it's part, Dukenfield was made aware that 1000's of our supporters were going to get to the ground late in a convoy of cars and coaches due to the roadworks and had the option of telling the FA the kick off would be delayed.

Absolutely. I keep referring to that (and the 'stolen' cctv tapes). Dukenfield KNEW there would be thousands of fans turning up between 14-30 and 15.00. That much is in the Taylor report. The excuse that he had to open gate C to alieviate the crushing outside is a pisspoor excuse on two counts - firstly that had he earned his pay and deployed his officers accordingly there would have been no last minute (or should we say last twenty minute) crush, and secondly, if it was such a reasonable action, why did he need to lie about it?

Anyway, and this is why many have banged on about the cctv tapes being 'new' evidence, since the Stephen Lawrence case the laws on double jeopardy have been changed. If 'new' evidence is uncovered 'new' prosecutions can take place. THAT can help give the families involved, and I knew one of them, some closure.

  4. You like to think they would but certain sections of football fans can be quite sick, hence the Heysel, Hillsborough and Munich chants I highlighted above. Basically, some people will say anything to get under the skin of others.

    Absolutely <ok>

And it wasn't just Anfield Dave - the police at Old Trafford were equally effective in transforming groups into lines - you only get stood on once by a police horse to get into line and stay there!

You're not wrong mate. I got stood on by a police horse at Wembley before the Bruges final. It never happened again <ok>

On the documentary that was on the other night, there was constant reference to the fact that some of the documents will almost certainly have already been destroyed. We can still hope though. JUSTICE!!!

  7. Unfortunately, we will probably never know. Plus, even if they are all there, there will always be suspicions that they're not.

I just hope there's enough there to point the fingers in the right directions. Particularly towards the police and especially the evil cow thatcher.

If the truth comes out that Liverpool fans were not at fault, and they persist in making those chants, then they honestly cannot have any complaints if a small section of fans taunt back. They cannot have their bread buttered on both sides.

Hmmm, Forest fans, must admit, I didn't think it'd be them first, but given that sot Clough's drunken ramblings to try and cover up his own Masonic influence that he and his mates in Notts/Derbyshire police in getting Hillsborough selected two years running giving him more black market tickets to personally sell at the FA conivance, I should have.

There were 'men of the cloth', off duty merseyside police officers, firemen, doctors, newspaper columnists, uni lecturers all Liverpool supporters that witnessed the incompetence of the WYP at the ground on the fateful day.

So is the rev from Nottingham the be all and end all as a witness?, is he in fact just another internet poster who can say he is whatever hes not.

The statements of 'professional' people from Liverpool that witnessed the events first hand concur with the findings of the Taylor report and THIP findings, and they made their statements on tv and in court and at inquests, not on an internet forum.<doh>

    "Reverend"... yeah.

Reminds of this joke i heard - A scout on bob-a-job goes to the vicerage to offer his services and the verger says "Well we could do with the lawn mowed". The scout sets to walk and half an hour later he knocks on the door "Job done!" and holds out his hand for his reward.

"Ah yes, could you now clean the gutters if I fetch you a ladder?". He brings a ladder and the scout goes back an hour later and, more reticently thhis time says 2Another job done". "Oh, right", says the verger, "just one last thing. If I pass you the shears can you trim back the hedge?"

Much huffing and puffing, two hours later, the lad knocks again and exasperatedly tells the verger he's finished that job too.

"Splendid" says the verger "Now hold our your hand" and gives the boy 5p.

"Gee, thanks virgin", the boy exclaims. "Ho, ho, i think you mean verger" he replies.

"Oh no I don't" replies the lad, "i know a tight c*nt when I see one".

    :emoticon-0136-giggl I'll get my coat....
