first player I would get rid of is Chico, then most of the Spaniards, lita, emnes, ngog, AND MONK
What would you call reaching the 2nd round of Europa and on course for almost 50 points before Christmas, then playing the creme de la creme of the Premier over 6 weeks while expierencing more injuies in those weeks than you had previous years,would you call it good luck . Cop out answer on the penalties to musty . Everyone ignored and continues to ignores our hugely "Bad Luck " from before Christmas till 6 weeks later, kicking a season and a half of glory to the curb on a knee jerk decision . Frankly , we are getting what we deserve because of that decision by people in a position to make it . I not surprised where we are today because of the reaction to those "6 weeks " of bad luck
Makes the dismissal of Laudrup look like a delusional panic doesn't it. On track for approx 50 points? I'll take your word, that would be good wouldn't it. Then of course we hit the top guns and get hammered with injuries. I don't know about luck, but people with common sense should understand and appreciate the degrees of difficulty involved in that phase of the season and that the difficulty would be amplified by the injuries, which would pass. Common sense is not too common in the Board apparently.
Up till dec15 we were on course for 47 points , this is for those that say the team wasnt good enough all season. Ive not heard one person answer against this fact , speaks volumes!
Not much of an answer valley , as I expected . All guys like you do is ask is how many games did we win after , without any thought into the reasons why. Look at the schedule and injuries involved for the 6 weeks after being on pace for 47 points, how bout the reasons we are in the position we are in now , after those 6 weeks , with a new manager and a healthy team and a favorable shedule, I wont hold my breath waiting for a reason from you and you alike.
Its pure speculative at best. The run after Dec 15 proves we weren't on target for 47 points.
good luck and bad luck usually evens itself out though its often claimed that the bigger clubs get more than their share of the good stuff due to partisan refereeing (eg DeGuzman through on goal when the ref blew his whistle probably wouldnt have happened if hed been wearing an Arsenal shirt!). bad luck maybe a factor in our poor season particularly our injuries but then if wed had a better squad or better fitness training it wouldnt have been such a big deal.
lots of ifs and buts but the reality that we all know is that too many players have underperformed this season. if i look at our 1st team i see a talented group who should be comfortably midtable pushing the likes of Southampton and Newcastle. Core players like Rangel, Leon, DG, Dyer and Williams have been far too inconsistent, Davies has not stepped up to the mark after a brilliant first season and frankly Chico has become a liability. Bony has made a huge difference but he also blows hot and cold and Hernandez hasnt had the game time to develop his undoubted talent.
But for me the player who really sums our season up is Michu. Obviously the injury was a big blow but lets face it before and after that he has been a shadow of the player who lit up the premier league last season and his body language and frustation betray that. We are far from a one man team but when your top scorer and key player is chronically underperforming youre going to have problems.
On the upside our goal difference is an interesting factor and despite a lot of poor results we have competed with everyone and noone has really taken us apart this season. this tells me that the team mentality is still strong and we need to call on that big time in the next 4 games.

Much has been made of Michu's demeanour this season but let's be fair to the guy. Early season he was playing with pain until it got too much. Eventually, he was forced to have an operation(s) that meant a long time out. After his brief flirtation with the Spanish national team, I have no doubt that Michu was intending to give everything this year to try and make the World Cup squad only to have his hopes dashed by the injury. How frustrating is that?
Add the reported problems with his lady friend and you can see why he is not a happy chappy. Also, it didn't help that by the time he got back, the team were struggling and already embroiled in the beginning of what has become a relegation battle. Gone was the fluent, reasonably successful football we were playing, replaced by some abject performances which didn't help him find any decent form.

Norwich was our 16th Premier League game on Dec 15 taff , we had 20 points after the game . Thats averaging 1.25 points a game . Over a 38 game shedule it would get us 47.50 points . Also , we played 11other cup games during this period which is pretty gruelling but we did well to move on to the 2nd round of Europa. Also, the Norwich game , Dec15 ,was the last game for awhile for Dyer , Michu and Vorm ...... An another gruelling 6 weeks ahead with the who's who's of Premier League teams in front of us wiith a barebones team to face them. A season and a half of brilliance by Laudrup , , shot down by 6 weeks of incredible odds against us , by a chairman who took advantage of his position from firing Laudrup's agent, till ultimately sacking Laudrup.
N,gog and Emnes was the result of Laudrup and Jenkins 's indifference , a playing of chicken of sorts. We had a ton of bad luck and created a bunch after. Way she ****ing goes I guess , maybe we can manufacturer a trio of points tomorrow in "The Battle of the Meltdowns "....... And Im 100% behind Monk before anyone tries that avenue , what choice do I have.

Sorry I don't understand that at all. I'm not disagreeing. I honestly don't understand it.
Emnes shows some promise and is a decent player on his day. N'Gog doesn't do it for me. Whoever decided on him was wrong.

If Laudrup couldnt have who he wanted , he didnt care who Jenkins brought in dragonborn . Laudrup knew he had players returning and didnt need anyone, Jenkins transfers would probably go unused if Laudrup had the chance to be indifferent again.We should have read Arnold Palmers book vetch " Go for Broke " , would have helped in the fifth round game of the FA CUP
Don't believe what you hear on radio Fails that then gets spread across the press - The Spaniards are very definitely our friends. As for Chico its all personal choice but I'd start building next season's team from him; lost count of the times he's bailed out Ash this season and filled in for players alongside Leon. Great footballer who occasionally implodes.
