So many positives, is this really Newcastle?

QPR showed against Wolves that with all their new signings they will be a decent team. A draw against them at Loftus road will be a better result than a lot of teams get there. I'm happy with the point.

    Ben Arfa's back. <party>

Main positive, I was shocked and thrilled to see him starting last night. I've missed the last two games but by all accounts they've both been very entertaining, which was my main gripe after QPR. Cabaye looks to have found his feet as well.

My only concern is full backs, SWP put us to the sword, and I feel any side with decent wide men will. If we sign a decent left back in January I'll be very happy with the squad we have. If we don't sign anyone I'll be very disappointed again, because it will show the board have no desire to press on and are happy to sit in mid table, we'll see what happens...

I am delighted with the start of the season. Things are looking up and we are getting results.

BUT: Lets not get ahead of ourselves, we have been quite fortunate in some games and we have not really played to well apart from the 2nd half of the Villa match.

I am however optimistic that we can get points on the board and I also feel we are just one or two pieces of a jigsaw away from a good team.

We are unbeaten and we have two matches where I believe we can pick up 4 points. The Blackburn match we should get 3 points and Wolves well they are doing well so lets say 1.

So if that happens and we are sitting with 13 points after 7 games thats a canny return.

13 points from 7 games would be outstanding, and would put us nearly 1/3 of the way to the 40 point mark. (can't help worrying a bit until we get there)

every one always looks to the 40 point mark but why not look beyond that the team have the confidence and the squad togetherness, if you look at the league and the teams we should be looking for a top 7-8 position but it never seems to be that easy. But we should be beating teams like Blackburn at home.I'd be happy with 4 points from our next 2 games but we should be aiming for 6.
