I don't get this thread. I don't see the need to post it, other than seeking attention... unless he wants us all to shed a tear for him. I don't think our club will lose its identity just because we're playing against some big clubs. My support for my club is not affected by others, whether it'd be the media, the plastic fans or some greedy players. Besides, the differences between PL football and ferriby football aren't that different to Championship football and Ferriby football. Whatever reasons he has for not following city anymore should have applied for our time in the Championship also. Also expecting us to go down in 12 months time is just a dick opinion so yeh, just go away. The way I see it is , not supporting your team because they're now in the big league (because of all the baggage it comes with) is just as bad as supporting them only when they are in the big league...
For **** sake Mussie... this is the first time I've posted when pissed.... bad luck for you... and probably everyone else too. I went to the pub today, had a few beers after a bad day at work and decided that wasn't enough, so had a few vodkas at home. And what do I come home to - You complaining that we've been promoted in a competition that there's no point in being in if you are not seeking PROMOTION. Mussie, maaaate - the theory of "perfect worldism" is self destructive. I'm not advocating the "fix 'em from the inside principal" either, but we (as individuals) can only do what we can do! Continuing to support City doesn't prevent you from having and making legitimate criticisms of the system that football is operating in. Put a smile on your face, have a few vodkas, give the system the finger, confess your love for City and enjoy the ride! (Football belongs to us).
Actually, he posted it a few weeks ago and hasn't been seen on here since. Someone just dredged the thread up a day or so ago.
Each to their own I guess, but when you announce one thing then do another, you leave yourself wide open for criticism. Let's hope he's happy wherever he goes.
Mussy watch Week 15. Post taken off CI and started the thread no less http://www.hullcityindependent.net/...&selpage=0&&limit=15&obf=post_number&obad=ASC "Any lip readers able to confirm what was said? On tele, you could see that there was an obvious discourse between Chester and Torres. This, after what the pigs in the trough tele pundits called the cheekiness of professionals. I prefer to keep it real and call it 'diving' or plain old 'cheating'. The Premiership. Pah. I' ve **** better. Already looking forward to season 2014/2015. Hehe the lads got Sky too. PS this is an old thread i've just bumped up to keep an eye on our "principled" Humberside loving foam hander.
I’d describe his sacrifice as Sandsian. Whilst we’re all souped up on ‘Premiership’, as point of principle, he’s boycotting these exciting times and is only: watching us when we’re on Sky/BT, attending all home games, reserves, juniors and away games (when he can). He’d step in front of a tank in Paragon Square if it came to it.
