Majority of Lyon fans don't rate Cissokho, don't know if Pieters is rated by PSV fans though.

I'm surprised they don't rate him. I heard he is a top player. Maybe his mind is on other things (moving to Newcastle) haha ;)

He'll be a loss as will any member of this spirited first XI, but if I had to pick a man I'd want to lose above all the others sad to say it would have to be Simpson. Been in really good form recently but has still looked suspect on occasions. We've got Santon to come in who is immensely talented. Offer Simmo 20 grand or so, that's a great deal, and if he still rejects it then he can go. Carr will go out and find us someone cheaper and probably just as good if not better.

If he does go though I wish him all the best, great servant to the club in the time he's been here and seems like a good bloke.

Lol, bad day at the office.

Remember Woodgate's Real Madrid debut where he scored own goal and got sent off haha

Seeing that Smith will be off the book at the end of the season; this should free up a hefty amount in wages that can be dispersed across the squad, either for improving contracts (a la Simpson) or bolstering squad depth (i.e. Pieters/Maiga/Cisse?).

Simpson may not be the greatest player but he’s perfectly adequate cover in case of injuries and has shown he can play at this level.

Well I think that as a regular first team player, he really deserves decent wages (20-30k) .. And I think we should keep Simpson cos although Santon is a real talent, we still don't know if he can adapt to the English game ...

Have to disagree tbh, he is never worth £30k per week and should accept £20k at the most because thats all he is worth

Don't think Marveaux is any good on the right though by the look of things. Hoilett on the other hand ;)

I want us to sign Cisse so much more than I ever wanted us to sign Gameiro/Gervinho. And I wanted us to sign them a LOT. Gutted when Gameiro didn't join. I know the Cisse thing isn't very likely but just imagine it. He's a class act and way better than Maiga.
