Let's face it, booing Evra was perhaps the dumbest possible thing Liverpool fans could do, but considering the examplar set by their clubs PR, what do you expect?

Why? Because he's black? Did that ever stop Utd fans booing Ian wright at every opportunity?

Practically, there were I'm sure a vast majority booing Evra because they believe he's a liar, purely because a few of their "leaders" said so, but fair enough if you're this way inclined, you may feel.
Many of the others will feel he is simply a loathsome character to them...
The minority however, will have absolutely revelled in the racist undertones that booing a black player can bring.

No matter what a player may do, they cannot be booed if they're black? Did you help interpret the FA's racism policy that only a black person can be the victim of a white person?

Does that mean all Liverpool fans are racist? No, of course not, but there's no difference in end result, which is why it is easily misconstrued to non-fans, and I think the aggressive nature of some 'Pool fans' responses has been detrimental to convincing others they weren't being racist, while the dismissive have just added to any criticism. So in order to not be labelled racist we have to individually prove that we're not racist? original sin or what?

I think the worst arguments have been the "well what about when Man Utd fans boo Suarez"... The reason for booing, to outside viewers, in this instance is obvious, and will be directed at Suarez for having been found guilty of racism against their players, not due to him representing a particular ethnic group. It's the dubious element of booing the perceived racially abused victim that, and I'm sure Liverpool fans must have realised by now, will distort views of the action. And of cause, according to you, there will be a minority of Utd fans just 'revelling' in booing a greasy dago, or a 'Sudaca', as the balance of probabilities would equally suggest someone called him.

In my opinion Liverpool, as a whole, should just draw a line under this episode and get Suarez playing football to the best of his ability, and quietly.

I can think of a hole where you can stick your opinion.

I do see the flip side to the events. I mean, you clearly got to him. However, if you care at all for public opinion and the image of Liverpool being portrayed to the globe, it's better understanding the criticism and responding like bloody human beings and not leaping down their throat when it's obvious to the thickest of individuals how it makes you look.

Well we DON'T care for public opinion, as we're not some global, advertising, plastic franchise like Utd and Chelsea. We don't care a f00k about 'public opinion', as it's the same public opinion that wanted us to condemn our fans for breaking down the gates at Hillsborough, urinating on brave coppers and picking the pockets of the dead. And when a PROPER court with a PROPER judge proved that to be nonsense, the same 'public opinion' and rancid press still accused us of doing it anyway. If any global fans are thick enough to believe this saga is about race, and that a man who uses an innappropriate word WITHOUT INTENT should be banned for twice the amount of a player who kicks another in the head for his second violent assault of the season, then f00k them too! They're not true Liverpool supporters nor ever will be, though judging by the 'Pool fans of EVERY RACE AND CREED BOOING EVRA YESTERDAY I strongly suspect that our fanbase, especially in Asia and the Spanish-speaking world, is 100% behind us.

So f00k you, f00k the FA, f00k public opinion, f00k the English sports writers as we don't need any of you, as we proved in the immeadiate aftermath of April '89.
