    Have you tried the Lotus round the Top Gear track? I have, shall we say a robust driving style on the game and it disqualifies me for the slightest contact, yet to complete a lap on the intermediate Top Gear race, bloody ridiculous. . . . . . glad it's not just me with the camper vans though.

    Anyone know how I can get hold of the a pick up truck as well? Do you have to complete the Nascar school or something?

    Apologies for hijacking the FM thread for Gran Turismo but only been playing it for a couple of weeks and severely hooked at the moment.

    There have been quite a few cars I need to buy/win to complete sections such as this pick up truck.

    I bought a Renault Alpine and have rendered it undriveable... well; around corners.

    or the other mistake I made was getting a Mini without looking at how many races were on the Mini challenge, spent 17k on the car, probably 30k souping it up to win 7.5k and another Mini that was worse than the one I had! <doh>

    Can't find how to get a pick up truck, maybe it's through the Nascar driving school but really struggling with that. I did complete the AMG school round Nurburg on to be awarded a world war 2 German jeep, what I'm supposed to do with it not quite sure.

    Edit: Gashead, can't see that at work, what is it?

    Win the classic French challenge and you get a classic 2CV... Entered it in a race against a Ferrari over 3 laps. The Ferrari won and I hadn't even completed a lap.

    Yeah I won the french series in the "Belletti" or something I won for doing some other race, haven't tried the 2CV but had to laugh to see it in my garage. Will probably flog it along with WW2 jeep and various other crap I've gathered along the way (Mini collection etc)

    Not set up online yet, only had PS3 a couple of weeks, will get round to it and let you know mate.

    How the hell can someone win the camper van challenge? I've tried everything, changing ABS & handling settings, everything and the best I've managed is 10th!!

    Gran Turisom online is so great. When I'm doing crappy I just turn round and smash into the cars coming round the right way and mess them up. So much fun, recieve so much abuse.

    They use "I'm going to leave now before I say something I may regret" so much, regardless of what you say.

    it's gotten far too deep for my liking. and i dont like the new layout in the last couple of editions. i still play 09 a lot because i find it the best balance between being realistic and fun. the new ones bore the **** out of me.

    What was his average rating over last 5 games? And the line about liking their attitude/standards usually is a better save.
