He has had his problems at Real...wouldn't be surprised to see him move.

I watched the second half of the match on TV here. At the end, Ronaldo seemed detached from the rest of the Real squad. Said he will make an announcement in a few days/weeks regarding his future. Wonder if a deal has been agreed between PSG and Real with Neymar moving one way and Ronaldo in the opposite direction? It will be sad to see him leave as he reached a new level of performance after he left Old Trafford.

I know i'm on my own on this but I wouldn't mind seeing Adam here kissing the badge again, it worked out for Micky Channon ok when he came back.

I'll just add that Adam was a great player for us before he left.

Very different circumstances. Mick reluctantly decided he was going to get us back to Division One and he needed to go to a club where he could maintain his England career. He was a 45 cap international who bled Saints. No transfer before or since hurt as much as Micky's going for me. Yet every Saints fan could see why he had to do it; we got Phil Boyer who scored the goals to get us back and then Mick came back to be adored again and we had that glorious brief period of Mick and Keegan playing together.

Lallana is a very good player. Technically he is up there, no doubt. Had he simply taken the accolades then suddenly found himself the centre of a big money transfer to Liverpool I'd have said "Oh sod it" but wished him well. Acting like a total knob was never going to endear him to us. If he came back I'd welcome a very good player, but his relationship with the fans would have gone. Would it matter? Probably not. It would just feel like it might, and football supporting is an emotional thing

SA why would you say you’re on your own when I’d just posted about him coming back? Bit odd.

I’d have him back tomorrow. Until then he’s a ****er :)

I bear Adam no animosity. But too many of our fans do, and he'd have a hard, if not impossible, job winning them over.

Channon was made of special stuff mentally. Still is by the sounds of it; I recommend a read of "How's Your Dad" by Mick Channon Junior if you haven't already read it.

Funnily enough, that book is mentioned in the book I’ve just finished about Bally. I’ll be reading that soon.

Michael junior was a nice lad many years ago when I sort of knew him. No idea where he is now.
