Certainly for a while now it's been a play-off final over each of these three days. Although in my head, the Championship play-off final was the Bank Holiday Monday one.

(Not that that is my point though. This thread implies that the CL final tonight is the final club game of the season.)

To be fair mate considering the state I was in when I posted it I'm surprised it makes as much sense as it does <laugh>

Anyway... Gareth Bale, he's one of our own <diva>

Karius <rofl>

Swear I just heard ‘oh when the saints’

I'm probably very late to this particular discussion, but I think the Liverpool fans were singing 'Oh when the reds go marching in', in a manner akin to Spurs fans singing 'Oh when the Spurs go marching in'. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, so I suppose we should feel smug that a song, clearly composed just for Saints, with no religious connotations whatsoever <whistle> has been hijacked by other clubs with fans too lazy to think of their own songs.:1980_boogie_down:

I believe it’s written in to half of their players’ contracts ... to make them feel at home.

Both Mane and Lovren had good games last night I thought. Lallana? Can’t help feeling he’s not ‘moved up’ really. A decent midfielder but no more than that.

Good player, great to watch, but he remains just shy of top class.

I think we knew that when he was with us, which is partly why we believed him when he said he was happy to see his career out at Saints.

Mane was excellent. I liked him when he was with us and his manner of leaving did nothing to detract from my admiration of him. Took that goal well, and I was pleased that if any Red was going to score it was him. Lovren is starting to look the player we thought he could become. Clearly helped by having Van Gob next to him.

Lallana was anonymous. One of my mates had rushed off to the bar while the substitution was made. Sometime late in the second half he spotted Lallana and asked "When did he come on?"

The former Academy player who isn't up to ZZ's standards looked OK. Come home, Gareth. You know you want to. If we move SMS to Wales might it clinch the deal? After all we already have a legend of Welsh football managing us.
