I always liked burgess and it was a shame he got injured.

We need somebody like him for next season. I would like to see a more direct style of play. We play too slow, players receive the ball stood still, we play it sideways too much. The opposition can just back track and get everybody behind the ball. Our only attacking idea seems to be get the ball to koren and let him have a long shot. No surprize we don't have a clue going forward when he's not playing.

We wouldn't necessarily need to play more directly to make the threat work. Having someone like Burgess in the team would give us a goal threat when the ball is played in from deep crosses by the full backs, and that threat would make the opposition defend further up the pitch. Once they're defending further up the pitch we can play wingers on the right side, because it'll be possible for them to get behind the defence and put crosses in that we have a realistic chance of getting on the end of.
