yep, in the 60 odd games he was here, he used the best central midfielder in the league in central midfield, about 6 times, barmby more or less built the team around him from the off.. plus didnt we score more then once only 2 times in 15 games under pearson this season? achieved that under barmby 4 times out of 6.
Stats can be misleading, but they speak volumes in this case. We've also scored at least one in every game under Barmby, that should change but it's still an obvious sign of improvement in our attack
I never had a bad word to say about Pearson whilst he was here but the performances under Barmby are poles apart from old flat tops. It's a pleasure to watch us play now, under Pearson it was like pulling teeth most of the time. I certainly don't miss Pearson. Steve Walsh, now that's a different matter all together. For me he's the strongest link in the Pearson/Shakey/Walsh trinity. A miracle worker no less, without him Pearson would be shafted.
Pearson's still a good club manager so would have done ok without him (not nearly as well but ok) Hull City on the other hand would be ****ed without Walshy's eye for a good player, though Joyce's encouragement of those good players to come here played it's part no doubt.
