    Lenny,
I don't agree about Taylor. He had one decent game in that role (Swindon at home) but otherwise has been dire playing there. A player in the striker positions has to be able to hold the ball up and neither Taylor, Parry or Foley can do that. Inability to hold the ball upfront gives us many defensive problems as well as attacking ones.Taylor can be a goal threat cutting in from the wing and linking with the centre-forward (as he did against Notts County) but he must be able to go outside the fullback sometimes and deliver a cross. It makes it easy for the defenders if they know he is always going to cut in.

It's not a prerequisite for a forward to hold the ball up if they have a partner who can do so. His lack of ability to go outside or cross is why I'd suggest he'd be better not playing as a winger.

I tend to agree with Lenny, ref my comments after Notts County.......Taylor near middle and Eaves drift wide. We might cope with one good winger if we had one!.......bring back Jimmy McLaughlin! :emoticon-0102-bigsm

hopefully miller will join parry and taylor as our regular scorers. a hat trick could be unusual for the Salopians this season!
