Nathan was a good lad, with a fair bit of ability and a good eye for a pass. His lack of self confidence is his biggest enemy and I hope he gets a good reception from the Turkish fans.
I liked the fact that off the pitch they were the best of friends but on the pitch they sometimes looked like they wanted to kill each other
Reading the comments, I'm not convinced you are in a minority. Just that gobby buggers who think all of our players should be better than Messi can dominate at times. I'm old enough to remember the abuse that Terry Paine and Mick Channon got - that's the same Mick Channon once described by Kevin Keegan as 'the best player in Britain'. Ye gods.
Redders was one of those players who gave me the urge to pull my hair out. He had games where he looked unstoppable but the next week had no impact at all! It was definitely the right time to move on, both for him and the club. Thank you Redders and all the best in Turkey!
I have to say that I thought that Redmond was a great talent. At his best, I always believed he was one of our best players and I just feel that a lot of the fans who were critical lacked patience. He was much better than many Saints fans believe. I hope he does well inTurkey.
