Because there is a gap?!...it doesn't mean that can't change, doesn't mean we are promoted, hence FF emphasizing it's IF we are promoted. <ok>

Although the table could look a lot closer by the end of Feb/1st March. We've got 3 games & QPR/Burnley have 5.

It amazes me that you consider Huth and Shawcross to be in the class of John Terry, Nemanja Vidic and Ashley Cole. The latter being three of the best defenders in the Premier League era.

Our front four that SKY drool over has a total of 35 goals, 20 assists and 9 penalties earned. Why can't they step up?

    Mind the gap <ok>

Despite his age, Dyer is the form of his career. I'm not surprised he hasn't been linked with Prem clubs (because of his age) - but that's not to say he wouldn't cut it for a season or two. De Laet will do well I think, but I would worry about the midfield two - Bournemouth seemed to know how to neutralise Drinkwater and James didn't step up as well as might be hoped. I think the midfield and up front are the places that really need strengthening.

Queenie - don't you worry about our squad. Like any promoted club, we will expect our squad players to leave (Phillips, Waza and Taylor-Fletcher are only on short contracts, and players like St Ledger, Waghorn, Gallagher and Danns will go), first team players to become squad players and experienced new signings to come in. Since Pearson and Walsh came back, not many of our signings have failed - Bakayogo is about the only one I could name. The only difference is that this time they will be operating in the Prem - but I would expect them to still bring in under-the-radar talent at the right price rather than overpaid, under-performing mercenaries, like some clubs I could name. <whistle>

Mate, the whole OP wasnt meant as a dif at your club, players or who-ever. It was a genuine question as to who you thought would cut it in the prem that plays for you know.

Obviously your are going to be biased towards how great your players are & thats fair enough. Its just to see what kind of expectancy you lot have of your team when you go up.

Like i said, i think you will lose a few but as long as you follow Norwich's & Swans first season plan then you should be safe.

now at the risk of this decending into a tit for tat, i'm leaving it

Still a long way to go (16 games) and the chances of you continuing on this remarkable run are definately ion our favour. But lets see how it pans out.
    good luck <ok>

Queenie remember even if we hit a bad run you still need to his a purple patch to make up

If we lose and you dont win then it makes very little difference

You need promotion form to get you up from now til the end of the season and we need to go on a loss streak.

2 points per game in my opinion is promotion form. There are a 17 games left for us to play, which means we need to look at a total of 34 points. If we get 34 points from now until the end of the season we'll finish on the big 100.

You've got 18 games left which means you'll look to take 36 points, leaving you on 92. I see these as reasonable and achievable figures for both of our sides from now until the end.

If you manage 36 points from 18 games then you'll need us to get 25 points from 17 games and I can't see that happening. Can you?

We've currently got a 4 game lead on you (3 wins and 1 draw) having played a game extra. For you to take the title from our grasps you need to win 4 more games than us. I can't see how thats going to happen. Not now you've lost your best two players.

We can go on a 3 game losing streak and you can go on a 3 game winning streak. You'll still be behind us. That is the advantage we've got over you.

If I were Harry Redknapp, i'd be focusing on getting second tied up first because you're closer to 6th than you are 1st.

It's not just the winning run, it's the quality of football. Leicester are the best side in the league so far. Second is Burnley, then Forest. QPR rely on there defence, they will need there new strikers to gel quickly if that's to change.

That said, Watford were the best footballing side last season and they didn't go up. I wasn't impressed with your load when you went up last time either, but you still made it. So there's always hope.

Gangsta...its all opinions mate. I dont agree with much of that, but thats what its all about. Doesnt make either of us right ,<ok>

I do agree it will be very hard for us to overtake you and i would bet you are going to lose between now and the rest of the season, but i not sure we will win enough & you lose enough to get past you. Im sure we're going to drop a couple too.

Like I said, this wasnt a thread abouit QPR V LCFC, it was about who you thought would / will cut it at the big table.
Oh well heres tot he twists and turns of the season. Not even close to the run-in yet...
Looks like it could be intresting.

BTW. How many (if any) have you lost this season.? From memory you had a slow start didnt you? What changed?

We've lost 5 games, won 21 and drawn 3 to date. I wouldn't say it was a particularly slow start, out of the first 10 games we won 7, drew 2 & lost 1.

There's no doubt many twist & turns to come, that's what keeps it interesting and the Championship always has a few surprises late in the season.

He seems to be forgetting this small fact.

It's not just about us losing a few between now and the end of the season, it's about you winning too.

You act us though you've already won every single one of your remaining games, and are just waiting for us to slip up. Concentrate on your own team <ok>

    No i dont mate

heres a suggestion for you...Why dont you go back and re-read the OP over and over until you understand it?

its a Purely LCFC thread (as its on your board)

i know we need to win if you lose
i know we need to rebuild
i know harry is a dinosaur
and i know this is geting boring trying to ask a genuine question about who you think will cope..

FFS forget about where we or anyone else is in the league and re-read the OP..jesus christ !<doh>

I said earlier i was out because some of your posters could not comprhend the OP. If you want to argue then "knock yourselves out'

To those that ACTUALLY ANSWERED THE OP then thanks for the replies.

Its obviously schools out time so i'll forget this and chalk it up as a lesson learnt!!

    Good luck <ok>

What don't you agree with? You surely don't believe QPR are a good footballing side do you? Well, I suppose knocking the ball around in your own half is technically passing the ball...

QPR are not near the top because they play good football but because they have highly-paid individuals who can win matches - although that individual has mainly been Austin. Great managerial find by the way. Who'd have thought chucking loads of cash at one of the most prolific goal scorers of the last two years would pay off? :emoticon-0105-wink:

Odd that you should make this comment if you don't want it to become a Foxes v QPR thread.

Don't see the comparison. Man City are the best side in the Prem and will win the league. We're the best side in the Championship and will win the league. Arsenal/QPR = also rans.
