Not turning on Tony myself, but I do think he should maybe stop twitter cause some are giving him a right hard time, and whatever he says there seems to be someone criticising him
No we are not all turning against him. TF has proclaimed himself eager to listen to the views of us the fans. He cannot put limits on that expression of opinion to positive comments only. Provided it is fair and constructive he should be grateful. So far I have seen very little criticism that is unfair or destructive. He has faults and has made mistakes which many of us have pointed out. He needs to know that we see them as precisely that and heed the criticism. If he does not listen, he can only have himself to blame if we do go down and he loses his investment. For someone who apparently runs a successful budget airline, one would have thought that his ambitions and targets, particularly in the transfer market would have been a bit more realistic. We are not a Rolls Royce outfit and sadly will not be (even if we survive this year) for some time yet. "One step at a time." "Learn to walk before you run." There are any number of cliches which are apt to decribe our next moves.
New Tony just as ruthless as our previous "Tony"
Glad to read that the majority here are fully behind TF. Lets put this into simple clear perspective. Our previous owners almost destroyed this club. My head has just stopped spinning from the amount of managers we had coming through the door. Be under no illusion, we were the laughing stock of the football world. They made promise after promise and only brought shame and embarrassment on our club. Simply, they knew nothing about football and by god did it show. Amit's arrival for me was the turning point. He had a big say in NWs appointment. We now had the most experienced lower league manager on our books. NW did a fantastic job. But lets take our emotions out of this for just a second. The simple truth is that we were going down like a hammer under NW. Love or hate the guy, a bucking blind man could see he was out of his depth in the Prem and with top players. Put our club first ladies and gentlemen. Nobody and i will repeat this, NOBODY is bigger than our club. The facts under TF so far: a. He promised openness and transparency. He has delivered on this. b. He promised top class players. He is still delivering on this. c. He promised to look at new training facilities and a new stadium. Wow, a big call and yes he is working in the background on this. d. He promised us stability. This is a sticking point with some, but by sacking NW and bringing in MH he has given us the best chance of Prem survival. e. He promised to make us a global brand. The appointment of PB shows huge ambition. So guys, as of right now, what has TF done wrong. What has he done that has called for any criticizm. IMHO we are bucking blessed to have him. Some fans are just never happy. If we want to play in the Prem we can't be a small little club anymore. Wake up, we can't survive in our current state. These owners are trying to drag us into the 21st century and still some of you are not happy. What exactly do some of you want. For any of you with twitter accounts, send TF a message thanking him for his continued hard work. If we loose our current owners we are back to square one again. Some of you guys need to grow up and take your head firmly out of your behind.
This! Cheers NUTS. Someone obviously believes that Tony Fernandes is our 20 goals a season striker...
