Erm yeah, so what was that exactly about progression from last season? This thread is A PERFECT EXAMPLE of the major delusions suffered by the blinker brigade, do read this whole thread and enjoy (in a bad way).

Rants? What's wrong? You were claiming we made progression, don't blame me for bringing it up, ;-).

    1 Man Utd 28 71

    5 Arsenal 28 47

well Judas certainly has progressed aint he , not sure i would describe those stats as progression for Arsenal.

If you are standing still and the rest are improving , in uniteds case dramatically , it a bit rum to say were are not worse than last season at this point.

"Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger admits his side will now struggle to claim a top four Premier League spot after their 2-1 defeat at Tottenham. "

If the eternal optimist is playing down our chances , it wont be long before even afcftw follows suit and bows to the inevitable. <rofl>

Well it's true we hav'nt progessed.

Defence is just as bad as always.
    Midfield is better.
    Wide players are better
    CF is considerably worse.

"I'm in a strong mood because, if I am not, I don't see how my team can be.
    Arséne Wenger 22 Feb 2013 "

as if it makes the slightest ****ing difference what mood he is in .

    Bullshitter extraordinaire.

and " Arsenal were the 1st (and the 2nd and 3rd) London club to win the double. The spuds have never won the league since becoming a London club in 1965 "

close your eyes and you could be listening to a Liverpool fan .

ahh , history is great ............. aint it ?

    Is that it ?

Is that all you got. ?

Crikey its worse than we thought.

Why do feel sorry for Wenger , hes getting paid rather well after all for his continuing dissapointments.

Your loyalty is admirable but you should direct it towards the club , not the man .

    Its mis-placed.

Until you realise that , it is you that we should feel sorry for , Your expectations are far higher than mine .

You got further to fall .:p

I think yours are more hopes than expectations, and that will always be the difference between fans and those that crawl from under their rock only when we are doing badly.

I think overall the team has progressed with the new signings and Ramsey finding a bit more this season following his being hacked down. We are only lacking two players imo.

A DM and a world class striker.

The problem we have is we never adequately replaced Song of RVP. If we had top class players in those positions we would be certain for at least top 4 and could even be challenging for 2nd imo. I wonder if we even made bids for top players in those positions, or whether Gazidis is, as I suspext, just really bad at negitiating contracts and cant complete them. Hes certainly no David Dein when it comes to securing new signings.

or those that only crow when we win and pretend every **** performance is just a freak result.

They are more dangerous . ..no ?

The empty barrels may make the most noise but noise is harmless .

The full barrels which are solid and offer their full support " blindly and unconditionally " ensure that the ship , slowly , continues , slowly ...........to ........sink.

Yes they could be more dangerous, but less insidious. Not seen any around here though.

Sadly I think our problems are much deeper, the goals we conceded today really didn't have anything much to do with lacking a DMF, our back 4 are simply all over the place, the 2 goals we let in today was purely their fault and lack of positional awareness of the offside line, and awareness in general, as the pundits showed, TV wasn't even looking over his shoulder for the second goal to see Lennon running behind him to latch onto the pass. TV had no idea Lennon was there, he thought there was a proper offside line, and so he just stood there like an idiot only to realise Lennon was there and there was no offside. And how many f--king times did Spurs just run into major open space on the full back area? Twice it happened, the first time siggudson whatever his name is was through on goal and decided to go Arsenal and instead of shooting, decided to pass and f--ked it all up.

Yes, a DMF would help A LOT with our defensive issues, but not every issue, our back 4 still have a lot of problems of their own that need sorting out, but will never happen, because it's always been this way under Wenger.
