He'd have to learn how to play there or he won't get much playing time, I think he's also played right up top too.

But playing AM will mean they have to drop into midfield when we lose the ball, there will be a back 5 and just two CM if they don't.

The "wing-back" option seems to be the new "modern formation", or possibly "flavour of the month", after the recent "4-2-3-1" option. It was played fairly successfully by several team in the World Cup including Chile (3-3-1-3) and Holland (3-5-2), and it does allow for both a solid defence with a fast counter attack, plus also good pressing up upfield whilst defending. Man United will probably try to play this season under Louis van Gaal. Clearly such a formation needs flexilibity of players and very good discipline, as well as physical condition (in addition to good coaching).

Harry also tried it last season with poor results as the players seemed to be a bit confused and out of position.

I would like to highlight that often the "defensive back three" of such a formation consist of two centre backs and one defensive midfielder, hence the flexibility of the formation. So if we play three centre backs it will be a clearly defensive formation, which I can fully understand for next season.

    Let's watch what develops.

...didn't noticed that. Do you think they will get away with it in the Premiership?

(Finn => you are very sharp on a Friday morning. Sorry for my error!)

    All the gear no idea

And the back up players for injuries are ?

    Harold is guessing himself

Names on paper before a ball is kicked laughable ... Each game will be taken at the time as it always has been

    Home games
    away Games
    Form
    Injuries
    Red cards

I would imagine there will be every combination during nest season

    Or a subtle difference -

    Hoilett\Remy\Philips\Adel ---------Hoilett\Remy\Philips\Adel
    ----------------------Austin\Iceman mk II\OhhBobby---------------

From what I've seen of Harry he'd probably play 1 up front with 2 behind.

Though as stated above players at this level should be able to adjust formations with easy and formations will need to changed. One thing we didn't see last year was the changing for formation quickly enough when things were going pear shaped, they should have a B plan which they can switch to easily.
