I see nothing wrong with having doubts or concerns. I think most of us on here feel the same. Exciting to see all the new arrivals but that niggle at the back of the mind that they may not be able to work together. More so because 99% of us haven`t a clue who they are. This is perfectly natural. We were crap last year. With few exceptions a poor squad. That is now being corrected but it is a work in progress. Obviously time will tell but, by getting in early, that is also something we can use to our advantage. I`m looking from the perspective that we are trying a new system which seems like it might work, whereas we know the old system definitely didn`t.
No you weren't pal You had a go at him for bringing in Bruce and MON, as though SNQ should be judged on that
I thing some here would make a sows ear out of a silk purse........just be thankful changes are being made, this is a tremendous positive that some are turning into a negative. What is the alternative..........do nothing..........no, buy proven premiership players who are no longer wanted.........like Wes Brown.......no..........it had to be a radical change. Have your doubts but as you say making the change pre season will give the squad a greater chance if jelling. At this stage of the season we should be excited about these players and talking about starting 11's, pre season friendlies, potential signings and not focusing on this element of doubt which makes PDC's battle of winning our minds(I hope our hearts already belong to him) that little bit more of a challenge. I see we have had a bid accepted for Jozy Altiadore - in all honesty I have not read any posts about this yet -I'm on my way there next........I bet there will be some negativity about a player his has set the dutch league alight this season.
Absolutely. Always plenty of doom-mongers. We don`t know the players but the backroom people who have been brought in do. That`s why they are here. PDC knows what he needs and they have supplied. The rest is up to him. Personally, I`m looking forward to the new season more than I have done for many years. By rights, with the players we had, we should have been in the championship. We were extremely fortunate there were 3 teams worse than us.
I'm excited at seeing players I have not heard of - the internet means anyone can do a bit of research to find that they possess talent and ability from decent clubs.
After seeing this board take off due to Syd and others and being responsible for bringing them here, I have to say reading your posts is a pleasure in the two and a half years of more reading the thing now than posting. You have a good lad there also and through the daily slog I have looking after the missus and bairn, it's good to see what's happening at Safc. Your a helluva poster mate, with a brain and excellent contribution, your lad should be proud. Had a dicky fit earlier reading my lads problem with 'pecs' but pleased it got sorted and not good to post 'pist'. Pecs is a sound lad, a friend and a pm away from a sympathetic ear. Strange post this but felt the need to type it but you and your lad are a credit to this thing here..
Yes it is going to be difficult to pull together all the new players into a team..so yes Quinn is rright..however with the lack of numbers and quality in the squad ;ast season and finishing 17th we have no choice
a graciously accepted complimate mate. Appreciated. now, the rest of you ****wits, listen up! couldn`t resist.
