I'm sorry but if you never give him a chance he will always be untried. Both Bennett and Pilkington were injured last year but there is no guarantee that it will happen next year and in any event we are now in the Championship and can use the loan system if they were. Bring in Buckley, or anyone else, you have 4 ' first team ' choices for 2 places in the team and one place on the bench leaving you with one to spare - when will Murphy get his chance to become untried? The same argument applies to Loza amidst the continuing clamour to buy yet more strikers.

I also think that we'll need a replacement for Snods, and Buckley is a good contender for that. Adams will insure that Murphy will still get chances and play more than he did last year. City can't afford to gamble with injuries, IMO, especially after last season. Buckley has the advantage of playing WL or WR and can play behind the striker(s) as well.

Pilkington has Shin splints which is chronic condition, he struggles to train with the team constantly and plays in near constant pain, he will miss games every season he isn't capable of playing a whole season. why do you think he didn't get a new contract last year. Personally I'd play Bennett at RB some of the time remember we will be playing nearly 50 games this season if we win few cup games, (48 if we lose both of them). I think Murphy could be excellent but he's never played a full season for any club and he needs to be brought through gently, you can't just throw young players in with the expectation of them playing 40 odd games, frankly we played redmond far to much last season, its not good for their development.

Sorry Rick but for once we will have to agree to disagree. I cannot see how Adams can give Murphy a chance if there are 4 players ahead of him for 2 places in the team and 1 on the bench. 2 would have to be injured before he even gets on the bench. In the event of an injury crisis we can always use the loan system. I seriously believe that the likes of Murphy and Loza should be at least on the bench for the majority of games next year and make at least 10 starts.

Hull City have had a bid believed to be £6million accepted by the Carrow Road board. The player has yet to discuss personal terms with Hull manager, Steve Bruce.

Not a player I know much about, but is Grabban perhaps being considered as the 4th senior winger? For me, Pilks and Redmond would be our first choice pairing, with Bennett rotating in as needed, and Murphy predominately used from the bench. If Grabban can play a wide role, then it means that there's no player obviously standing in Murphy's way, but should injuries create significant difficulties we could play Grabban wide when needed.

Would not say no to Buckley though, transfermarkt reckon he's out of contract this summer too.

Can't say I'm overly dissapointed about this. Great price for a player that puts in 100 per cent but lacks the pace needed to beat a man at PL level. Holds onto the ball far too long slowing up attacks and set pieces aside he rarely puts a good cross in. On the flip side he always chipped in with goals and as said his effort and honesty were never under question.

i wasn't aware pilkington had shin splints. if true, no wonder he struggles. i suffered the same and it was horrible. i personally think josh murphy stands a very good chance of making it in our first team next season. i would not be against going into the season with bennett, pilkington, redmond and murphy as our wide options. were we in the premier league i'd be loathed to say that but in the championship, i think that's a pretty damn good foursome of wingers to choose from. fitness issues would be a small concern, though i think grabban can also be utilised out there, but i think there are other areas of the squad which need far greater surgery than out wide.

as for snoddy, good move for all parties i reckon. we get more money than we probably should have done, hull get a very good player and the player gets european and premier league football. win win win in my opinion.

Heard it from a fairly reliable source. Could still not be true but fairly confident there is a chronic condition not just a string of injuries.

I had heard something about Pilks having shin splints as well, cant remember the source. I think I also heard he needs an injection to get through each game

Snodgrass was awesome in his first few seasons but last season he was a main focus of frustration for me, he plays wide right but only has a left foot ,all the faffing about before crossing to nobody diving or losing the ball then freaking out at the opposition or the ref was shameful.
He is the only player since Crook who could score a free kick but this one dimensional hot head will not be missed by me, someone already mentioned it but grabbing the penalty from Wolfswinkel and then subsequently missing it summed up our mess of a season and Redmond will be a far better right winger than him as will Josh .
