Don't worry, he'll be at championship Leicester in a year's time. Love the quote "If things change in terms of bringing players in and getting Premier League class and kicking-on, then it's a no-brainer" Now I really hate to be a gloom and doom merchant, but does anyone on this board think we are bringing in Premier League class to kick on? The other quote was that some West Ham players were on £50k per week. Now that's just fecking ludicrous, but it is clear that he thinks that is the class of player we need. I disagree. Look at what the Atkins diet achieved at Southampton, the home grown achievements of Swansea, the masterful management of Norwich, and the really bloody good at Reading. What you need is a force within the club that gets everyone working togetehr and focused on the same thing, that one mentality. There is only one thing that prevents that from happening at LUFC, and it will alwys be there while he is here. You have to have the fans happy too, cheering on the players in everything they do, good and bad. While we do not have that, we will not get anywhere. Sorry for bringing the debate to this conclusion again
FFs Elmo !!!! Every debate, every f u c king debate..............................................................................................
If he is going I would rather sell him, I believe we have offered him a good contract or he would not be talking about ambition. Regards this story, I imagine Everton are looking for another freebie to sell to Leicester in a year.
This season they will, but if they are willing to wait he will walk for free in less than a year. I want him to stay, but if he will not sign a new contract then we should sell him. But, if the club wants any of my money next season they will need to show decent re-investment in the squad.
What conclusion do you want? It's a depressing thread already - Snoddy is off because we don't bring in players he believes will get us to the Prem despite offering him the best wage of all. But I point out his demands are wrong - so in a way I am backing Bates there - but to get to the place wher Snoddy would have signed for half the increase needs somethign special running all the way through the club. I'm not asking for much. And it's doable. In fact I'm optimistic we could do that. <if we put the old git in the ground...cough....sorry kiwi>
I took that to be about scottish players coming down from the SPL potentially earning that much, rather than hinting thats the type of players he wants lufc to sign
