You were being a **** on their board and that's that. They might be a set of ****s too (I don't know I really don't give a **** about them) but your taunting of them doesn't help and they for some reason think you're representative of the rest of us. Your brand of internet wummery is just really gay. Going on a board to wind people up then going "Ooh like how wound you all are over me, giggle!" It's the same thing they're trying to do on here in response and it's just ****ing boring and sad to read. That's why I moved that smuggy's thread over to their board cos we certainly don't friggin need it on here.

 

PLT - that's not the whole truth and you know it. The user posted a porn link on the Mackems board, that link was not just porn but also unsafe. I've explained before many a time this stuff gets us banned from google. I affected an immediate site ban. There were no Hull mods on site to discuss this with, I checked. When you came on site you requested I lifted the site ban. Despite me being at work, I responded immediately I saw your post and left a message for Posh to lift the ban to a Mackem board ban only. It was purely a message to say the users actions were totally unacceptable, nothing more, nothing less. Both the Sunderland and Hull boards I will have a guess are used by younger members, therefore i do not apologise for issuing a site ban and will do so again in such an event.

I know there is currently disruption between the two boards but i don't think events should be allowed to be clouded by what happened to that offending user.

 

PLT, this is how a mod acts. You should try to emulate brb.

For the record, there's no dispute between both forums, rather both forums have members who are ****ing idiots and need attention. Neither of these sets are representative of the whole.

 

I don't disagree with any of that, I know full well what happened. In fact I relayed it all to the board on another thread.

RE the 'disruption', I've been away for a couple of days but it just looks like a daft thing which was in fairness probably started by City fans on their board, which will be easy enough to deal with.

 

Not really, there were a few decent chats going on until a small clique of Sunderland fans decided to post abuse and hunt for argument at every opportunity.

 

I disagree with it entirely. The general chat regulars get away with identical offences and worse. The worst punishment I have seen given for an offence similar to Mr. Twigs was a temporary 3 day site ban. I drew the short straw and was treated unfairly, more so considering I've never offended on this site before.

 

I simply don't see the point in going on someone else's board to wind them up. What sort of a pea-brain derives amusement from it?

 

General Chat has a totally different set of mods and I think I'm right in saying that brb and the other Supermod Posh Minx don't actually cover that part of the site.

Anyway this thread is going the wrong way, we aren't discussing moderation and arguing with supermods about bans. If anyone disagrees please PM me.

btw i'm seeing many complaints coming in my direction re the two boards at the moment. I honestly don't know what to do, because I really don't have the time on match day (my team) to determine who did what to whom and who is to blame. I'm just hoping the mods from both boards can get together and resolve in house, which is more preferable. If both sets of mods can give me clear guidance I will help, otherwise I'll keep out. thanks

 

brb, I've been talking to the Sunderland mods throughout with my views and have PM'd a few of our posters. It's probably best done via PM rather than flaming up further on the boards.
