I really dislike smoking and for the usual reasons that it smells and stuff like that. However on a recent walk around town I stumbled across and old style tabacco shop that sold top quality tabacco, pipes, cigars and expensive Rum and Whiskey.

It has inspired me and at some point in my life I'm thinking of taking up smoking cigars and a pipe accompanied by expensive booze.

Mrs luv is not happy.

Is smoking the good stuff as bad as standard cigs?

I smoked for 20 years, gave up about 15 months ago.
Smoking Cigars is not as bad because you generally do not inhale cigar smoke, you keep it in your mouth for the flavour, then blow it out.
Still smells of course, but not as bad health wise.
Not sure with pipes, never smoked one (well, never smoked tobacco out of one anyway.....damn crack! :p)

I used to enjoy the odd cigar with a good single malt.

Not had one of either for beards.

Don't smoke cigarettes, can't stand 'em. Love a spliff but with as little tobacco as possible just for it to have a slow burn.

Do like a cigar though, usually have one at Christmas with my cousin and uncle or sometimes we'll get some if we have a cards night with the boys.

I like a decent Cuban around Christmas and New Year, to go with my vintage port.

Just get mouth cancer instead of lung cancer. Great advice!

I like a cigar on holiday or at Christmas.

Don't smoke tobacco at all.
