Very interesting read and if all true makes Ehab and his lot seem like tossers...which is SOOO surprising.
Yes, and for those of us that have worked in a corporate environment, it looks totally shambolic and their HR should hang their heads for allowing it to happen. A good HR department protects both employer and employee by ensuring laws and policies are followed.
 
The HR lady used to be Nick Thompson's PA. she is probably way out of her depth.

Dick thinks these guys are lying. That should be easy to prove, by looking at the records of the disciplinary meetings.... oh.
Like a few others on here, Dick thinks the Allams can do no wrong. They stick their fingers in their ears and go LA LA LA whenever these idiots shame our club.

I like it that para 130 neatly goes up to z.

I've been saying it for years and it's once again proved right by this version of events - Ehab Allam is a man displaying a potent cocktail of extreme arrogance, extreme wealth and utter stupidity. He is, by all reasonable measures, thick.

I read through the whole thing, and as you say it wreaks, and that I'm the boss what I say goes, and don't question what I say.
 
I presume we're going with our brothers views, the workers, rather than waiting to see the other side of the story?
 
The early paragraphs upto say around 110 all suggest some sort of stitch-up but it's all a bit vague, the ones after that, when Escab makes an appearance, show an astonishing ignorance and arrogance on the part of the 'respondents'. I don't know what the groundsmen did or didn't do but on the basis of this I really hope they win this.
As for 'curing' nematodes, well, the bloke's a ****ing idiot!

I've read the complaint and I have no idea whether the SMC have a case. The crux of the case seems to be the amount of fertilizer and other products the SMC bought. Whether that was a reasonable amount and who was responsible isn't really clear, as its not really covered in the complaint. Second, whether Darrell Cook should have been working whilst Hull FC was playing and whether he was allowed to work for them. Again that isn't clear as it may have been covered in his contract of employment.

Whether the SMC have a case depends on what the 2016 contracts of employment said. Without seeing the contracts nor the amount spent on looking after the pitch its difficult to come to a conclusion.

Finally, a lesson for all employees. If you sign a contract of employment, make sure you keep a copy and keep it safe. You never know when you'll need it.

If you read a complaint and assume it's 100% factual without hearing the other side for some balance you're a fool.

You and a few others would assume they have a case based purely on who the respondents are without even reading it. Now that's a lost cause.

Oddly enough complaints always paint the petitioner as the victim.

It may well turn out true but until ALL sides speak I'm not whipping my pitchfork out.

2. Join a Trades Union
3. Get Union representation for any disciplinary cases

Do you believe the groundsman lays the kit out in the changing room the night before a game?? Very strange.

Yes indeed.

Whilst it's true you've got to see what the other side has to say - it seems very apparent that they have seriously mishandled this.

Even a simple dismissal requires due process be followed. It would appear that Ehab and his HR person have not followed any sort of process

Ehab will dispute what he's being quoted as saying - and I doubt anyone recorded the meeting - but it does make amusing reading and paints him as an utter clown

I'm not sure it matters when he laid out the kit. It will come down to whether he was entitled to work for Hull FC after signing the new contract and what his duties were. I'm surprised the complaint doesn't list any requests for copies of the employment contracts they signed.
