We had so many chances and half chances and openings created. The real criticism that should be being aimed is the lack of quality on the final pass or final touch/finish.

It only needed one to go in and this whole conversation would have a different angle to it.

 

No, that's my point; expectations are disappointments waiting to happen. But if we get three chances like that in a game, I'd normally reckon on scoring a couple.

 

I work on four chances to a goal. We had more than that.

 

I don't remember us having so many chances, (i remember 4 chances where maybe we should/could have scored) and as you clearly know what i want then you may as well have this discussion with yourself as there is no need for me to take part.

I have not once said we played poorly infact i've been saying the oppisite Archers went off on one and got all grumpy i was merely trying to get my veiw across and now your trying to make out that i only see bad. Sometimes you get four chances and you get nothing. Sometimes you get four goals. Jamie Vardy in the form he's been in for his club converts hslf chances 50% of the time. So does Sturridge, at least when he plays for pool against Saints.

But yeah, we created enough to have won that. Just need one to go in early next time to settle the nerves. Now where have I thought that before a dozen times last winter?

Fair enough guys, my point was that i was concerned that we have been playing well and we have only just managed to win 1 game. I don't expect to win every game, i am just concerned that out of the 2 games we have completely dominated we have drawn both and only scored 1 goal.

 

We are now due a win that we don't deserve....may want to save that one for France in the QF.

 

As long as nobody brings out the line "we just need a goal off of player X's backside", that really grates me for some odd reason

There was a handball just inside the box which should have been a penalty in the second half. There was also Clyne's shot from a tight angle which should have been a penalty as he was fouled just as he hit the shot which the keeper saved.

It does on me too. I can't think of a single moment in football where I have felt it was appropriate. It's said like some panacea cure-all and all will be well thereafter, when really what is required is an entire tournament of lucky bounces off backsides into a goal to see a team through. Usually it's said when people have run out of ideas.
