Don't like Fat Sam at all. Knew he'd come out and be all about "we got the result we deserved" crap. Sure if he grinds out results then happy days but get used to him over-inflating the quality of the performances. I would have much rather he came out and said we're still adapting to a new system with new manager etc rather than him trying to convince the world we deserved it. (we did but that's not really the point, if he's that cocky after squeaking past slovakia how smug will he be when we beat a half decent team)
I don't know, most England managers have at least one good result against a half decent side, obviously usually in a friendly.
I wasnt counting friendlies to be honest as we're the only country who give any credence to results in such games out of pure desperation cos we're so ****ing **** at tournaments not hosted on home soil.

Tbh it ranks alongside the infamous quote by Hodgson asking why he was here after the Iceland defeat thinking him issuing a resignation speech after the game would allow him to disappear without be asked how he managed to **** things up !
