I'd rather they struggled on with Slot and we'd get our tradional home win against them, was also looking forward to our first win at Anfield.
I hadn’t considered that, tbh the fact we are back in the premier league doesn’t feel real yet, maybe I will accept it more when the fixture lists are released

I mentioned this to my mate who is a Liverpool fan. He seems to think they considered Alonso after Klopp left but ultimately decided he wasn’t their ideal candidate so appointed Slot instead. He also said that if Liverpool sacked Slot this summer and Alonso was still available, they still wouldn’t consider him.
Alonso at Chelsea feels weird though. It’s quite possible Liverpool consider Fabregas as a potential candidate to replace Slot. Now that would be weird. Alonso at Chelsea and Fabregas at Liverpool.
It's been great for football that Man Utd struggled post-Ferguson, Arsenal post-Wenger and now Liverpool post-Klopp, hope they go for Gerrard, time will tell on Man City post-Pep.
