Until he's holding our shirt up I refuse to believe.
Of course even then MA is likely to take the shirt off him, proceed to take a **** on it and simultaneously tell the media the deal's off, Rafa's oot and Wiseys the new manager.

I think this is literally the striker Benitez wanted in the first place. You know, like since January 1st.
All the comments I've read off him lately suggest he didn't actually want Stuzz. Guess Charnley finally made the phone-call he was after!

He's a beast in the air and seems to have a knack of getting to the ball ahead of an opponent. I think he'll score goals for us. If he had had those 2 headers Gayle had the other week he'd have put both away. As I posted last week his minutes per goal stats are actually decent.

I didn't really rate Sturrage, so wasn't too miffed when he picked Pardew. His choice is revealing the man he is. He's injured alot too.

But this transfer window has an extremely familiar ring to it - Ashley simply won't compete.

As it stands it just about meets our very, very low expectations. If they manage one more signing - and most reputable journo's claim we've got one final option from the Bundesliga - then it will have been ok. A decent No.10 would be my priority, mainly to ensure neither Perez nor Diame play there ever again. I think Perez is a decent enough striker, and Diame is passable as a DM. Denis Praet hasn't yet signed for Juve? Also a bit annoying we haven't lined up Dendoncker as part of the Mitrovic deal.

The benefit to having Slimani is with the way Rafa wants to play it should make a considerable difference.

I'm happy. Completely expected to see nobody either signed or tried for today.

Mind you, if he's injured for 3 weeks like people have said, and he can't play against Leicester, then that's only 10 games he can figure in. Better than nothing I suppose.

Saw him playing in Portugal a couple of times - worked his arse off, was quick and very powerful in the air

I know he hasn't worked with Leicester but reckon he's ideal for us

QUICK????? no mate, he has acquired the nickname "SLOWMANI" for a reason ! To be fair though he does try hard and is powerful and great with his head. but quick he aint! Shearer would probably beat him for pace! hopefully he will bag a few goals for you lot and push his value back up so we can get rid in the summer for a few more quid.

Put the ball on his head and he will score apart from that he is a bag of ****

Useless with his feet, spends more time fouling people and doesnt challenge for headers

In fairness he's probably quicker than many give him credit for because he is competing with some incredibly quick team mates ... he's a likeable player and if you can get aerial balls into the right place he is very good in the air ... he also has a shot on him <ok>
