Had a full week on it now and what a game, not my usual subject matter but it really is exquisite. Loved the fallout games but this just blows it clean out of the water, more crisp, more detailed. Missing the V.A.T.S side of the game but no biggie.

My only only gripe is the merchants are far too greedy, I'm hoarding items in my safe storage while I build up my speech. Anybody know a quick way to build it up? Got my smithing up to 50 super fast from mining the materials but a quick way to build speech up would be great if anybody can help?

There is a glitch to ugrade speech (or was, don't know if its been patched), you should be able to find out by googling. But I did it at the same time as smithing, go out slaying any animal you see, skin it, then go make loads of leather armour. Then go round selling it, ain't worth much, but it'll increase your speech.

Go to an iron monger make loads of daggers and sell them at the shop, repeat and upgardes smithing and speech.

To upgrade magic join the fighting clan people the ones in Whiterun, you will have to show one of them how you handle a sword, when you attack him with magic he just tells you to stop but wont kill you so just repeat.

One of the best quests is the dragon priests masks, ask the greybeards about them and get all the masks, there is one that enables you to breath underwater and that opens up loads of valuables that you can't get any other way.

I got a bit bored of it truth be told. May have another bash at it as cant go out the next few weeks as am saving for my hollibobs

It does require patience as there's so much to do and if you run off half cocked then you just die all the time, stay in the first 2 villages and do every quest available, at that point you are ready to stray further.

thanks mate. Already done the first one you've said. I'll try and see if I can do it again.

It's been a while but I completed something like 97% of the game so I'm happy to help.

Thanks fella, up to 100 on speech now and the difference is much better, going to work on smithery tonight and try and find another combat training to test that magic thing you mentioned. Not really looked into the magic side as Intended to play it again as an elf and focus on magic more but I can't help myself.

I played as an archer as I'm quite lazy and it's by far the easiest route as you can sneak around and kill from a distance. Magic is more difficult. You need to focus on one style but can also have good stats in other things.

The house in Whiterun is your first major purchase you then need the big place that gets unlocked when you complete the murder quest in one of the main towns can't remember what the town is though.

A good way to get money early on is to pick up a bucket take it into a shop, drop the bucket then move it and place it over the shopkeepers head (not easy) but once done you can rob him as he can't see you or take the bucket off his head.

If you find a dragon near a town attack it then leg it into the town and let it kill loads of people then loot their bodies.

Probably my favourite game on the PS3! Pleased I managed to complete it (apart from some of the side quests!) before my PS3 finally decided to die on me after 6 years of loyal service! :(

It is my fav game by far, I finished something like 98% on my first time around, I'm interested to see how long it will take to finish it without fast travel, probably be playing it still this time next year.

I'm loving it. I find traveling quite quick on horseback.

Getting my archer skills right up at the moment after concentrating on one handed and blocking. The zooming in option has made archery a lot easier and making use of bows a lot more now.
