Let's make one clear point the fact that the team favorite to sign Demba is 6/1 suggests they expect Demba to stay with us.

Not really, it just shows how many realistic potential suitors there would be.

That aside, do you think the rumours of such a low buy out are true? If so, you'd have to expect that all the London clubs would be interested at the very least.

There are only 3 London clubs he would consider moving to but he prefers life up here anyway. I'd be surprised if he left but if he does it will for wages and nothing to with it being a London club.

Sorry when I said London I meant the 3 bigger clubs (not some mickey mouse affair like QPR!!!).

To be fair though, wouldn't C.L footie be a fairly big reason to move to London?? Would be hard to turn down surely.

If the buy out is true at 5-10 mill, this represents something very poor at board level, surely?

As a man who regularly works with risk, I can tell you £10m for someone who could have just as easily broken down 5 minutes into our 1st game would be good business. There was a small chance he would do as well as he is doing and alas it has happened. If we all had hindsight then I would agree with you though. What is to say, we sell him and he gets a massive injury withing 10 minutes of his new club? £10m would look very good for us! I also believe I read somewhere, although this could be rubbish, that he is on a pay as you play deal with us and we added a sweetener to the agent to get it passed through! For what it is worth, he won't leave us until Summer at the earliest (if he even wants to at all)

Ba still hasn't been linked with anyone that I've seen. Why would he leave when we are doing well, he just wouldn't.

In Mirror it said Liverpool, QPR, Everton and Scum are looking for a striker, but it didn't actually say the wanted him and even if they did why would he even consider any of them apart from possibly Liverpool - but they aren't really much better than us.

Certainly would and given our owners usual policy and penchant for selling high, I'm thinking it may be a load of turd! Time will tell. I don't think the lad will go anywhere in January. But if the big guns come calling in the summer there is not much you can do. I could see him as a tailor made replacement for Drogba unfortunately. Whereas I would love to keep him I'm realistic enough that if the top 6 come calling for any of our players, then it'll be a struggle to hold on if the money is right. And that is not only because of our owners love of selling, its also because that is just the way it works with footballers now unless they have some affinity with the club. Even then money talks.

We could get into Europe this season. 7th place could be up for European place so its a big possibility. It isn't C.L, but I think Ba would be happy with that, we are the most underrated and up and coming team in the Premier League and the 'big boys' wanna watch their backs because we could over take some of them soon like Liverpool who are the most overrated team ever.

Also, yeah if it is that price then its bad at boardroom level, although I think it must be a clause for if we get relegated, because Mike Ashley isn't that daft I don't think - he is a nob, but his main strengths are getting a quality price for players.

Pardew would go seriously up in my estmiation if after this latest disgrace from 'Arry redknapp, Pard's just says "Well I think he needs to shut the f*ck up"

Do it Alan. You were far too nice about his blatant tapping up tactics the other day. Destroy the c*nt.

It gives us good incentive to go to White Hart Lane later on in the season and beat the bastards like we usually do.

You could forgive him first time round. But to do it again a few days later?!

What? He wasnt tricked into this one. Tells the world, 'its about £5million lads'. What is he thinking? If it is £5mil then:

    a) Why havent Spurs bid yet?
    b) Why is he telling everyone else so they can bid?
    c) Why is he telling journos this anyway?
    d) Why is he such a flabby faced, disgusting, tax dodging, bung taking c*nt?

Redknapp things that everyone will love him by being honest and open to the press. Shame he's not as honest when it comes to behind closed door transfers!!

How many clubs has been bankrupt now??? Please let Spurs be next!!

He would be a fool to join Spurs anyway. One the saggy one leaves, they will free fall all the way back down to probably where we are currently. Chelsea and Arsenal at the very least have the means and ability to over take them and Liverpool chuck money at anyone however we could over take Liverpool too. Why leave Demba? As Enrique and Carroll have found out, it is not always greener on the other side

<laugh> On the old 606, the spurs fans on there were **** waffles and I hated them. Now I have mellowed somewhat towards them BUT it would be funny if Spurs went bust. Would make saggy chops unemployable you would think! Can't be coincidence.

Exactly, as I said I think we are the most underrated team in England and I think we will be challenging in the top 7 or higher for years to come. Don't think our players will leave like some people seem to think.

Obviously I wouldn't be disappointed if 1 or 2 of your players ended up at us and that i guess is a compliment. But you have done wonders so far this season and would be interesting to see where Pards could take you if he can keep the team together.

If we can keep our team together and add some players who can compete and make it so if Colo and Taylor get injured, we could cope we could end up challenging the top 4 eventually. Whether or not the players are willing to wait another couple of years for us to build the team even further is another story.

If we do sell some of our players, Graham Carr will probably work wonders again and get us another Tiote/Cabaye/Ben Arfa/Santon.
