Yeah, absolutely stunning window - no one in and possibly six players out.
Factor into that Delli Alli to Spurs for 5 million which most agree is a cracking piece of business and the fact that Santon obviously didn't want to leave and it's just wonderful.
Pards at Palace has done well today and obviously got some financial backing from his new club. Everyone wins barr the long suffering NUFC fans.
Every time you think it can't get worse, it does. It feels like a frigging jumble sale rather than a PL club.

So in summary, our official January dealings are:

OUT
HBA - contract terminated
MYM - sold
Santon - loan
Campbell - loan
Roberts - loan
Ferguson - loan
Vuckic - loan
Bigi - loan
Mbabu - loan
Streete - loan

This is ****ing horse-**** !

Ashely is clearly trying to gain more leverage to keep his feet in the door north of t'border....i.e. throw me off the board (and/or my director appointments) and I'll take my money back all in one go, and take my players with me, you just know there is bound to be something in the loan agreement that it can be terminated whenever the **** he feels like chucking his toys out of the pram.

Any potential managerial candidate must be having second thoughts now surely!

Carver (Ashley's new arse puppet) will be confirmed in the summer, along with the rest of the backroom staff, if for no other reason than to save having to pay out a massive compensation fee to pay them out of the remaining 5 years of their 8 year contracts.

Onwards and ****ing downwards lads and lasses.....but i'll still get up at daft-o-clock in the morning over here in Oz to watch it.

Oh....and you forgot to mention our 'new signings' under your IN heading. I am of course referring to Aarons, De Jong, Raylor etc.

Whoop-de-****ing-Doooooooooooooooooooo !!

Can someone please arse-rape Ashley with a massive hairy dildo if you come across him (and happen to conveniently have the afore mentioned massive hairy dildo about your person at the time).....preferably sideways !

Ashley if you're reading this you are a Cock Juggling Thunder ****....now kindly please **** OFF !

There are also the exits of Pardew and his Analyst, (not that I unhappy with pardew leaving) but that gives us a head count loss of 12 in january. 13 if you include S. Taylor whose injured for the season.

you could probably say at all times during the rest of the season that we will have 2,3,4 other players injured too, perhaps more.

Another Gripe I have is the fact taht we will still be paying the wages of the Rangers loanees, Who actually believes Rangers are going to pay their wages with their financial turmoil.

We could spend 100m in the summer and it wouldnt be enough, Next year we have maybe 1 or 2 CB, i dont count Williamson as a viable option, Colocini isnt getting any younger, S taylor will be injured banned or performing awfully, barr two games all year and Dummett is Dummett, I'd scrap the lot and buy 5 or 6 defenders in

Then Mindfield, S ameobi needs to go, as does goufran, obertan, Tiote, Anita, Gutierrez (regretably) , Vuckic Bigirigama, ryan taylor Marveaux. I honestly think we need a good 5 or 6 midfielders in and a ton out

Strikers, let Cisse go, 30 now, downward spiral, Riverrre can go, Armstrong and Campbell really arnt good enough, before we know it there going to have been at the club 10 years and scored 50 goals (Shola!) leaving us one "Striker" in Ayoze who aint an out and out striker anyway.

Our Team is a fooking mess

We will have a cracking 5-a-side team though:
Krul
Janmaat
Abeid
Sissoko
Perez
Aarons (sub)
Colback (sub)

People keep saying that wages off the bill wouldn't be the reason. But if you look at 5 months (assuming loan deal cut off in June) off the bill with that little list above and Pardew etc, I bet MIke coins a pretty penny from that lot. Santon will be on at least 30k-40k. MYM similar and Benni around 60k. If you say 30k to cover the rest including Pards (and any part wage payments). Probably 150k-175k a month just lopped. So 750k-875K in 5 months. Not to be sniffed at.

It would be 150k - 175k per week surely, so probably £3million+ in savings over the next 5 months.

Yesterday I was thinking about how awful our defensive options are now, but that perhaps we'd get to see Streete get a chance. Oh wait, he's gone too. Down to the injury prone Goode and physically frail Satka as our only CB backup for the injury prone and increasingly poor Colo and the back to his level Williamson. Fairly hilarious.

<laugh><laugh><laugh><laugh> Damn my amateur efforts at mathematics

Even less to be sniffed at! Smart cookie. Obviously building up a warchest for the summer ready for an assault on...

The Fat controller has lent Rangers £5mil ...so wouldn't surprise me that some of that money comes back to his pocket via the Rangers paying a bit for the wages at least...

Its a perfect virtuous cycle for MA ..lend Rangers money, gaining more control of their club..get money back via loaning NUFC's kids to them.. ..win win win win

Some interesting comments ref the lack of activity and loanees from this transfer window.
Opinion seems to be divided between those who see the loan deals as a positive development strategy and very astute business and this who see them as yet another cynical manipulation of the Rangers situation by Ashley.
I personally favour the latter, as l do not subscribe to the view that Ashley does anything to benefit anyone but himself. In my opinion he is strengthening his hold on Rangers by not only loaning them money, but now influencing the playing staff also. This makes it harder for the SFA to take a strong stance against him ? As surely he will threaten to pull the lot if he doesnt get his own way, and he normally does!
What do others think his motivation is ?

I have no problem with the loan deals apart from Streete and Santon. The rest weren't going to play. I wonder how Carver will handle it. If he is going to be consistent, he should just say "this is nothing to do with me, I just coach the players". I think he will toe the line though and trot out the "Santon wasn't going to play as we have Paul and Massimo"

Streete is a mental move. Surely him and Good should be given games on the run in to see whether they have a long term future?

Reactions: Ellis Short Is
I see many Rangers fans are worried about becoming an average English Prem teams feeder club. I'd be more concerned about the opposite coming true in as few years when Rangers are back in the Champions League.

As for these loans... I don't really care, other than Streete who we needed to keep for cover given our suicidally thin CB options and Santon who was not only our best LB option but has also gone for a pittance.

The obvious evidence that means these moves are the latter is that these "5 deals" all just so happened to get "over the line" between the hours of what 8pm, when i gave up watching the news and first thing this morning.

If this was a deal to develop NUFC's youth it could have been done weeks ago and happliy infront of the media.

This deal was agreed weeks ago and was quietly finalised on the stroke of midnight so the fans can't get to upset and even if they do, so what, what can be done about it now. Sweet **** all!

The only silver linning is that this now looks more and more like assets stripping ahead of a sale in the summer.

I just hope the Scottish FA shows some back bone at the meeting on the 3 March and makes him play his hand.

It would be lovely if we were sold to an owner ambitious for the club, but how is loaning out a clutch of reserve/youth players asset stripping? Selling Santon could possibly be construed that way but with us having two other left backs, albeit of questionable ability, it's more likely just MA behaving as he always does. Mbiwa was already out of the door from last summer, same with HBA. With the fat TV revenue (set to increase further) and huge global audience for Sports Direct advertising through NUFC, I just don't think a sale of the club seems likely.

Think we have seen the last of Sreete at Newcastle. I believe his contact is up in June and hasn't had a new offer meaning he can now go for nothing. Yet another waste of our young talent.
