You would be correct. Also Tipperary and Kilkenny had never had a drawn match in the championship prior to yesterdays game. There is some buzz here locally...all the talk is about the match....flags and bunting hanging everywhere. The scramble for tickets starts again.
And not a word from Stan since. He can be quite rude sometimes that boy You're right Betty. Its very unusual. I read in the paper today that the last hurling final draw before 2012 was in 1959 and now we've had 3 in a row. London buses eh? It'd be about as likely as a draw in Rugger or Aussie rules or summat Queens. Not very frequent. BTW, I thought Scotland were going to get beat easily enough last night but they put up a very good show apparently and were edged out 2-1. I worry for Ireland now. I think after 15 or so years of sh*t, Strachan has rallied the Scots and they're on the way back. Trust us to never play them in all that time and just when they start to come good we draw them in the group. England for a good away point tonight Oddball? A draw would be a very decent result against a good side IMO.
They did better than that they won 2-0 ... by the morning it will be a thrashing in the media and watch the Churchill's sing now. (I hate them moaning about Hogson only to love him the next day ... Fickle people IMO who are infected ... how long before they turn on them again ... England expects you know) England had great effort tonight and got a good result but they look bloody fragile to me and Le Suisse looked much more than the result said I think they will win the group
Sorry for letting you down Swordsie... haven't got much to say though as I haven't seen the game and I don't understand it anyway......I'm saving my Irish sporting fanaticism for Connacht in the rugby, to see if they can surprise anybody this year. And how many of their players Leinster will pinch.
You won't need to pinch any at this rate Stanley http://www.rte.ie/sport/rugby/pro12/2014/0919/645065-connacht-v-leinster/
