Sky reporting that Laudrup is Swans new Manager

hope they dont swoop in for laudrup. maybe thats why nothing has been settled yet, hope not and he agrees to sign as its getting to be a joke now....

 

"The Swansea chairman revealed his board has been fully briefed on negotiations and a search that has included approaches to Marcel Desailly and the Wigan assistant manager, Graeme Jones, among others. He added: "The average length of time it has taken us to appoint a manager in the past is 15 days. That takes us up to Friday this time around, and I am hopeful that we will fit in again with our average."

i dont fret i have seen it all before and will see it again. fret is not in my volcalbery when it comes to jinks amature ways of doing things..

 

Rodgers wasn't signed till the middle of July when he replaced Sousa , a full month after our new manager will be named !!

 

Any coincidence that Friday is a certain Mr Laudrup's birthday ?????

Appointing a steward and appointing a manager are two quite different actions. A steward has a standard contract and gets paid the standard rate. Appointing a manager rqeuires a specific contract which has to be negotiated over a period of time and is a compromise between both parties. Major items to be included are the pay (manager will try to get the most and directors will try to pay the least!), bonus payments, and compensation payment if the manager leaves before the end of the contract. If care isn't taken over the detail when the manager is appinted then the board would be accused, down the line, of not doing their job.
