I think it will be a United v Saints final this year - good for the romantics but Jose will ruin it by parking the bus and trying to win on penalties

Good for the Romantics <laugh>

You mean good for a Goon..now you're advocating Bus parking <laugh>

Goon standards are desperately falling season by season.

Any neautral would want a Spurs v Soton final so they can enjoy a free flowing cup game...too many Sky4 fanboys on this board acting like their past glories deserve the rest of us to give ****s about them <laugh>

So why are 80% of the Arsenal fanbase, Wenger out? Is it because you're not happy with the types of pots won?

Did Wigan have a better season than all the teams that finished above them, even though Wigan won the Cup but got relegated?

You wouldn't want Wenger out if he had bagged you the league or CL in recent times and that's the point Poch was making. The league and the CL are what it's all about...you can see that for yourself.

Pots are always nice but only a few are the ones that elevate your club. Sevilla win the Europa 3 times in a row...no one gives too many ****s and they are not talked about alongside the big 2 clubs in Spain.. So I get the point Poch is making about elevating a club to the standards of modern football

Arsenal fans want Wenger replaced because he's not able to challenge for the premier league or champions league. The FA cups are nice, but for a club like Arsenal, we have bigger ambitions. So yes I take your point, however. When history looks back at the last 5 years, it will record that Arsenal won 3 FA cups and Spurs won nothing. Nobody will remember that you had a 'good team'. It will be judged on trophies won.

I'm sure you'd take Southamptons last 6 seasons in the PL over Wigans FACup triumph and subsequent years in the arse end of the football pyramid. I love the FA Cup...I'm just understanding what Poch was saying with regards the fame today.

Stop being a Yanker

If we win the FA Cup and get relegated, I will remember that Cup win for the rest of my life. The pain of relegation will fade.

Three relegations, going bust, watching all our best players leave (beginning with Martin Chivers)? Seen it all mate, but the pain dies and I still keep coming back for more.

1976, on the other hand - Bobby Stokes stroking the ball past Alex Stepney's outstretched hand...I remember everything about that glorious summer, as if it happened yesterday.

Might be a generation thing, come to think of it. I love the FA Cup though. ****ing love it. <ok>

The only 'Sky4' team who have 'past glories' are Liverpool. The other 3 are present holders of trophies. <ok>

The two times your little club has managed to win a trophy at Wembley in recent history it's been a borefest.

Me too, I love it too..I've been part of the generation who used to watch the whole build up and the country was at a standstill. Not like that now is it? Football has shifted its priorities. I won't disrespect your passion for the cup because I genuinely believe it to be true. Goonz and Tel on the other hand want their manager gone despite the cup success yet are getting their knickers in a twist because Poch said the emphasis is on league and CL nowadays and cups do not elevate clubs..he's right and they are a prime example of that.

Yet you still want Mourinho out.

Exactly the point Poch was making

Laytas gays, my point is made, maybe if you look at it through a Kaleidoscope, you might see the pattern you want to see <ok>

Nobody is getting their knickers in a twist fam. The point is that both Wenger and Mourinho have been challenging for titles and CL for years. Arsenal fans are well within their rights to ask for a new manager, because Wenger is done at the top level and for a club like Arsenal who have a history of winning FA cups and league titles, when we can reasonably have bigger expectations. Utd fans want Mourinho gone because he's a ****.

Pooch hasn't won anything, so before he starts writing off the FA cup, and saying it's all about the PL and CL, he actually needs to win something. He's getting above his station and that's why people are calling it out.

As I have said in other posts I have a soft spot for Saints (liked Le T) but getting Hughes could be a mistake as he is a massive **** - but perhaps that’ is what Saints need, a bit of ****iness and nasty, rather than the nice team they are, to stay up. Hope it works and then you sack Hughes as he is a **** and Welsh

****ishness has been lacking from our approach for a while actually.

Ronald Koeman had a fair bit of the **** about him; we've missed that since he left.

If you don't win the Europey, will you have been better than Spurs this season, Pix?

Oh, dear! You do walk into these, don't you, mate!
<laugh>

^^^ rattled.

The point in question was that even with Arsenal being ****e over the last few seasons, which you have been at pains to point out, we've still won three FA cups to Spurs' how many trophies ? What was that about walking into **** ups again mate ? :)

Thing is mate, none of these fooks today will relive them same sort of memories apart from Var. We waited 10 fooking minutes, and the ref never gave it <laugh>

Var could be the final straw that drives me away from football forever <ok>
It's **** and it throws up more problems every time I see it, plus it still gets things wrong.

We had an incident against Swansea where Son was put through, the flag went up, the ref blew and he banged it in.
Went to VAR and there was no clear offside, but it still didn't count.
What would have happened if he was a yard or two on, though? Ref blows the whistle and you have to keep playing, just in case.
