I kind of already have to pay for F1 as it's on Speed over here which requires cable. If I were back home, I'd certainly not pay for Sky to get it though. I'd simply watch it via streams (had to do it in the past when cable has been down).
i have virgin media and all the sports channels because i also like to watch the football and boxing.so because i already have sky sports i will be watching it.but if i had to get sky sports just to watch f1 i wouldnt.this change will turn many ppl away from f1 which is a shame. i was hoping that itv would get f1 back,or at worst channels 4 or 5.i do believe that the coverage on sky will be very good tho.
Cor. I feel utterly compromised here. From the fans point of view; yes, this is exactly what is needed. I have spent years doing my best to widen F1's appeal by garnering public opinion and listening to fora such as this. My goal has always been to promote the interests of F1 and motor racing in general. It has not always been easy but now it is far less so. On the one hand, it is not in my personal interests to find a situation where sponsors may depart; obviously they provide a relatively long-term stability to the thing I live for. On the other, I cannot stand by and watch this being handed over to an exploitative and disrespectful organisation run by a despicable man of questionable morality. Unfortunately, this man Murdoch and his cronies and our county's compliant administration seem to understand only one language: that of money - a direct consequence of the exploitation of the masses without a voice. And therefore the only means at the disposal of the public is to boycott the very thing he believes the passionate fans of motorsport to be incapable of. Yes. Hit the sponsors. Yes. Make a point of watching every single session of motor sport you possibly can, for the remainder of this year. And then⦠Do not watch next year. Switch off your TV. Never buy a Sky deal. P.S. to self: What am I saying here? I cannot believe it has come to thisâ¦
[*] Do not watch next year. Switch off your TV. Never buy a Sky deal.
P.S. to self: What am I saying here? I cannot believe it has come to this…
better yet, making sure bbc re-runs destory sky's viewings numbers. in actual fact this is going to happen anyway.
I completely agree. Totally and utterly. This country's disrespectful power-mongers who facilitate the ambitions of those of dubious character, through having been sucked into their long-term, exploitative goals need to learn this. Now!
Actually - I may be wrong - the problem is with Government & the BBC - SKY took advantage of lame ducks. We should hit the MPs and BBC individuals.
Exactly. They are all in it together. But we can take direct and effective action against Murdoch by not buying into his power over us. Do not watch Sky. This way, all those who have helped facilitate his ambitions will also fall short of the payback they hope for. Murdoch has an insidious command over this government which has grown its grasping tentacles so much that they are not far off being capable of strangling the public voice. Scream loudly while you still have breath!
Look what I've found already. Everyone, please bookmark this for safe keeping for next year... http://mypremium.tv/
