I was hoping our resident idiot wouldn't notice your slip. Could have had hours of fun with him trying to understand it!
Just shows how being in a different place but in the same vicinity changes your experience. I don't dislike Derby's fans or club per se but I think I just pick a team or in this case teams that I would prefer to win to give a sporting event a bit more interest.
Championship - Final Table (according to BBC) Pos Team...... GP GD Pts 1 Bournemouth 46 53 90 2 Watford 46 41 89 3 Norwich 46 40 86 4 Middlesbrough 46 31 85 5 Brentford 46 19 78 6 Ipswich 46 18 78
Attendance: 30,806 - Everyone likely expecting another crack at Wembley. Wouldn't be surprised if Steve McClaren is on his way to Newcastle.
Ipswich v Norwich over two legs, very tasty. Could Brentford replace us? That will really put the tin hat on it!...
They (Brentford) are so not ready for the PL. Likely would set new record for lowest number of points ever.
I think I'm going to be an honourary tractor boy next Saturday (although selfish me wouldn't mind a local Rs game next season).
Is it fair to say that Mclaren did very little to dissuade to the notion that he would be at Newcastle next season. With Derby having failed again, he won't have to choose between the two. In saying that, a manager would only go to Newcastle for the coin. He'll be on a hiding to nothing so he better negotiate a big deal for himself. It won't take long for the fans to turn on him when Ashley gives him two bob to buy players. He may be better suited coming our way.
It seems McLaren makes a difference when he first arrives but somehow loses it after a while. Derby were flying in the first half of the season but it all went pear-shaped when they had injuries and it is rumoured his loan signings really divided the squad. I think he'd be a fool to go to Newcastle as Ashley still has an eye on Rangers as a bigger meal-ticket
