We lose whenever I go and watch. Even managed to be there for Cantona's ****ing volley in 1996. Think I actually cried after that.
Stay away! Are you planning on going to any matches in the forseeable? I rem that volley Threw a teenage strop, was 17 at the time
I was a little 11 year old back then. I enquired after some tickets for Anfield recently, don't have a season ticket so reliant on contacts. Will stay away if it's an important match!
Last time I went is when we played Wolves on boxing day I think under Hodgson (shudder). I'd better stay away! Cant get tickets now, not tried since having baby though to be fair. Tickets under Hodgson were easier to get!
Can we stop the "not suited to BR's style" bollocks please? This was disproved a while back. His passing is better than Agger's in both our half and theirs, he's better one on one, better at tackling, better in the air...what he doesn't do is have YNWA knuckles and run past the halfway line with the ball but you can't have both defenders doing that anyway, someone has to stay back. He's a good defender who gets too much stick. Granted, we can get better than him, but he's nowhere near as bad as people here make out. Agger is far from the Messiah. Next to Toure, who has been very impressive, he's been shown up. Same as Skrtel, he's a good defender, but nothing special and someone we can improve upon. If Sakho means Agger has to fight for a starting spot, great. He's that committed to the club that he should be willing to fight for it. If it were up to me, I wouldn't sell either, but I would definitely find competition for Agger and let Skrtel fight for a spot too. Unless BR really fancies Wisdom to develop in which case let him be fourth pick right now instead of buying.
Relax, you tardtastic mong, Gerrez is right, I don't really care what happens to Turtle, I just like to play devil's avocado every once in awhile, and test my vituperative skills. There is no-one on here, I have a problem with, I don't even mind Enricky, and everyone appears to loath that useless little ****....
Disagree with the not suited to BR style. I made the point while watching the build up to our game v Stoke where Tony Pullis pointed out exactly why he's not suited. He said that when they lined up against us last year and beat us, they allowed Skrtel to have the ball at the back knowing he was less comfortable on the ball than the rest of the back 4. This means that his next pass was less likely to be as good as the rest of the back for meaning they could then pressure that pass. They pressed the rest of our defenders knowing if they were allowed time they could pick out a good ball but Skrtel wasn't capable of that. Now if Pullis can see that and manages to exploit it with Stoke then no doubt BR is aware of this. You could say that a defenders main attribute is to tackle and in some systems that's true, win the ball then get rid, however in this system where you win the ball then keep it, Skrtel isn't up to scratch in BR's eyes. Winning the ball is no good, if you're then only going to give it away by playing a dangerous pass and putting yourself back in danger, or whacking it back up the field to give the opposition the ball back.
I dont think anyones saying that, Agger doesnt always pull it off Agg played a good ball forward v Villa to Aspas though who was wrongly judged to have been offside Toure atm looks a great piece of bus
I thought Skrtel was injured And going on bib theory, Sterling, Alberto, Allen will play. Lucas, Suarez, Skrtel won't please log in to view this image
