You're right - I don't like Skrtel because I think he's an average defender. In this current system, he has two good defenders to help him out. And it relieves pressure because he can pass to those two who then can play the ball out. He also has less distance to cover and sweep up because the space is occupied.

This system merely masks the deficiencies we have. Put Skrtel in the back 2 again and he'll continue to make mistakes.

And Sakho performs in any system and has done. Can is a 20 year midfielder playing as a centre back and doing a damn good job.

and skertl got away with a total moment of stupidity where he gave a pen away an the ref inexplicably missed it... then he could have own goals but for a bit of luck.

skertl stood up to costa great.... applause and all that.

he's not all hat just like the rest of our lot.

So did Suarez in the derby at Goodison, so I'd dismount that high horse.

  5. As much as I think Costa is a ****, I'd love him at Liverpool. Much like last season with Suarez, it winds the opposition up, get our players fighting and provides a media circus with a distracted focus point.

I'd rather not. I always get behind our players, but I'd find it a difficult task to try and like him in our shirt. I don't have a problem with the in yer face hard man stuff, it's the sneaky snot smearing type of business I dislike.
Spitty Diouf got precious little support for his antics, and rightly so.

Difference is Suarez is a better player than Costa and Costa's game unlike Suarez is built around agression more than technical skill.

Suarez was fouled constantly out of fear. Costa just fouls and dives. None of our players gave a **** about him in terms of football, in our pocket all tie.

Shows how bad our dealings have been in buying CBs for that last few years when he's who we've ended up with in that position and he actually looks like one of our best signings for the back line in amongst the umpteen centre backs we've signed when he's a central midfielder.

Costa is constantly trying to get players sent off as well as his sly grabs kicks stamps and headbutts. He fouls and pretends to be fouled, like when he barged into Skrtel in the first league cup game, and the chavs think Skrtel should ahve got a red for that<yikes> The same fools that said Saurez was this and that are now saying Costa is merely a tough player.. though they forget that stamping on a player on the ground is anything but tough, it's cowardly to the extreme, a cowards cheap shot.

No one minds a forward getting stuck in and making himself a nuisance for defenders, I'm all for it, it's the other stuff he does that is off colour, fling gobs, sly heatbutts stamps and he's a divey ****, almost as divey as Hazard and Oscar.

I hate dives but I hate feigning injury even more, the scream from hazard when Johnson "touched" him near the end was <laugh> He did the same girly scream to win a peno in the first game, that was a dive all day and a dive that put them through to the final.

TBF he's played CB (and LB) before and his versatility is one of the reasons we bought him

Can is one almighty beast. In a way that role at CB may be a blessing in disguise as I thought initially you could see the talent but he dabbled too much on the ball plus he always looked unfit. That spell will have made him realize that you do not have that much time and it will assist the moment we move him into midfield.

The stamp on Can was totally uncalled for. It was early in the game no one had fouled him but he just felt the need to Stamp Can. The second one on Skrtel was accidental but the first one was just very very spiteful and with no prior provocation.

Rich from you Sisu. You loved Suarez antics and as for diving. Starfish stevey, sterling, Suarez and co are the masters of diving.

Haven't seen the incident but he needs to be punished for it. No need for it and no place in the game. Hopefully Jose goes with Remy as Drogba is terrible if Costa gets banned

You miss the point douche bag, you did nothing but whinge about Suarez and now you defend Costa, because you're a douche bag and a hypocrite. No one defended Suarez when he went too far.

You're pretty good at defending the indefensible though<ok>

Not if you look at the replay, he's clearly looking for Skrtel to stand on. Actually looking at his foot and picking his spot to land on.

I guess you already forgot your own hypocritical stance on Costa and Suarez, the fact you can't accept it is testament to how much denial you suffer. Your brain has already deleted that ironic palava it seems, never mind that you express yourself with google images<laugh>
Had that been Suarez doing the stamping last night you'd have been on here all day telling us all how much of a snidey cheaty dirty player he is (FACKT!) but fail to do so when it's Costa. Says tons about you and how you actually delude yourself into believing what you do in order to avoid cognitive dissonance.

Your incoherent logic is akin to rats desperately scrambling about looking for a way out of a closed box
