I could just about accept someone thought buying lambert for a couple of ten minute cameos was a great idea on the basis of having SAS this year.... well nearly...

but after selling suarez for 75mil even if it is over a 2 year period we should have immediately moved for a guy and been willing to give 180k per week suarez was on... but FFS we pissed baout and ended up trying for a guy we then dropped like a hot snot on supposed medical gorunds who also looked like he was on a budget then cheap assed it on balotelli also

The reality now is either we buy big or we admit we put the suarez cash into the stadium or worse.... on **** players from southampton

Ok we bought markovic for 20mil and all... we did spend quite a bit 36mil net last summer... so lovern and lallana looked to be players we wanted anway...

sigh.. its matters for nought now... its done and can't be undone so we have a team with lost of players but no quality.

 

Quite simply - spending the £50m Soton money on 2-3 quality players would have transformed our team. There's only one man to blame for that in my book.

I would be generous and extend it to 5 men but TWO in particular need to be judged harshly. namely ayre and rodgers.

I have defended both when defense was merited but these signings cannot be justified in any way.. and are largely direct causes of us being really poor in front of goal

Lallana, lovern and balotelli are a shcoker, never mind old rickie (never fitted strategy)

someone sat down after or during us getting 2nd and said hey... nobody will join us with SAS in our team so lets get an ould fella to bench warm and someone else said great idea... boht are nuts.. top club mentality is get the third top player and push the rest.

I agree Brod should have rotated Studge more, let someone else spend some time on the physio table
