It's pure sentiment, in honesty. Wonderful, wonderful memories & forever love the lad, but now? No, no way. Absolutely some role at the club, but not over the white line.
Will do joe but tbh is be as much use as DG up front these days. Lol Have a good one too mate and everyone else.
Previous to this point I'd have said no, as he's been pretty clear that he still wants to be playing. Right now though, it must be clear to him that if he can't get on the pitch for Palace, his time is pretty much up. Therefore I'd offer him a place with us as long as it's agreed that his future is in a coaching role. Sit him on the bench and give him a few 15 minute cameo appearances up to the end of the season, and everyone is happy.
I'm not sure he could do a job for us on the pitch anymore. If he failed to deliver it would ruin the memories and relationship. in a coaching role, that would make a lot of sense.
He might actually be able to explain to Altidore what the thing with white poles and a net is. As a coach I'd definitely have him. I also still reckon he'll score more than altidore!
@YoungSunEcho Kevin Phillips has moved to Leicester until the end of the season ‪#‎SAFC‬
Good luck to the lad, I will follow him at Leicester, just like I have everywhere he's went. If there's a god, it's him
And you just know that whatever he's asked to do he'll make a bloody good job of it. A great professional! Would very probably make the best starting eleven of the best ever SAFC player, including the heroes during the best days of the club in the 1930's (and before my time!!!)
Hope he gets games, had a late start to the sport after all, he'll still another 5 years of hunger for the game.
