Well that´s worth just a pint or three
A well-earned and deserved victory,
Outgunned and out-fought
We held them to nought
Those Gunners from the big city

Each and everyone did their part
They played with a passion and heart,
But two of the best
Joined forces to wrest
The points to give us a kick-start

Say what you like about Holt
No longer a frisky young colt,
But still with a nose
For scoring from those
Half chances, our own Usain Bolt

And Tettey picked up where he left
v Chelsea, deceptively deft,
And strong when needs be
Just ask young Ramsey
With a shot not entirely bereft..

..of power and accuracy too
Good to see him shining through,
But today they all
Just set out their stall
For the win which was long overdue. OTBC

Have a great week all,

Yours :)

Watched it on the box Dave, and as Hughton said, it was no fluke, thoroughly deserved and could have had more, but we can save those up for next week. ;)

I'm still buzzing what a game what an atmosphere what a shot from Tettey and follow up by Holt
What a shift by Bassong and Turner

And Wes well if he does not get a game for ROI after that

We are bloody great!

Hi RBF bor, not wishing to put a damper on our jubilation, but Arsenal were woeful, no attacking ideas whatever. Still nice to be celebrating that first win. Now for Villa!!!An all round pleasing team performance. We don't give award for the Most Improved Player but I was impressed with Brad Johnson. Usually he does incline to forget his defensive responsiblilties but yesterday he was On the Ball.Found Hoolagan's performance impressive. How he doesn't figure in the Irish team, is beyond imagination, he was inspirational in his play. But the best is it will give the team confidence to take on the opposition from now on.Rex OK ?PS I take it skal is Danish for our old Burton beer Skol LOL.

Skål is cheers to you NORKIE, and very much cheers it is too, to hell with whether Arsenal played well or not, you can only beat whatever turns up.

Rex is coming on a treat thanks, and looking forward to next Saturday´s celebration dinner! <laugh>
