Keeping under the FFP limit by £2 Million is hardly pushing the limits is it!

Guru, Supers isn't saying you aren't within the guidelines. He's agreeing with you on that. You clearly are. I don't get the impression he's criticising Ipswich for only just staying within the guidelines either. Fair play to Ispwich - they're doing what they've been told.

The point, though, is simply that it's a little hypocritical to have a dig at Bournemouth about their manipulation of the rules to stay within FFP, when your club were also quite close to FFP and, from what we saw of the accounts, needed a bit of (perfectly legitimate) financial restructuring to get it that way.

It's just a case of double standards.

Oh god. Not you as well?

Read the thread properly - maybe you'll learn something. In fact, it was Guru who pointed out that the rules were relaxed

Have Bournemouth kept within the limit?
If so then I don't see what your problem is Warky.

But then Ipswich also were over the line until the (as I say, perfectly legitimate) financial restructuring to get it looking fine and dandy. All within the rules. All perfectly acceptable.

I don't know how Bournemouth managed it, but if it's within the rules, surely it's within FFP? Or are you saying only Ipswich are allowed to use loopholes to avoid FFP?

May be getting my wires crossed here but was there not preliminary talk of renaming Portman Road not so long ago, in order to comply with the regulations?

I have no idea if Bournemouth will fail but they weren't listed as one of the clubs expected to fail. They were Forest, Blackburn and Leeds I think

I can see that Rob, but supers is using his everything Ipswich is bad blinkers, a bit like what I am accused of the other way around.

We got in the guidelines by cutting wages and other outgoings, there was no other restructing in anyway and was one of the few clubs to actually put the effort into doing it.

I think NASA were going to sponsor it as the astronauts can see most of Town's games from space .

What a load of old poop.

    Again!

You had to put the effort in or you'd have failed by a monumental figure! Fair play for getting inside the boundary. But as Rob says, it still required investment from your owner to push you over the line by what would have been, had the guidelines remained the same, a very small amount.
