I'm still hoping for a Scottish win, but cannot see it, they cannot take advantage when in good positions

Not my kind of thing, Rules. I've only just learned of this S&M lark. When I heard it first, I thought it was a department store they was talking about :frown:

Sooper might take you up on it though

More clinical team than Scotland would have had that. Good game.

Time to start the build up to the MASSIVE Ireland - England game this weekend. Doubtless Swords will be on sharpish writing off his own teams chances in some kind of cheesy reverse psychology. Ireland 9 wins (or is it more?) on the trot including Australia and South Africa, the supposed 'best coach in the world' (or at least the Northern Hemisphere) with his legendary attention to detail and epic team briefings. Ireland, reigning champions with a team that picks itself and the towering character of Paul 'Why don't you **** off and retire' O'Connell at it's heart, a first 15 which picks itself and Sexton back with no discernable brain damage.

Up against England, a bit of a shambles. Making injury excuses before the tournament was started, now no idea what our strongest team is, without Mick Brown last year's player of the tournament due to some sissy head injury protocol. Somehow turned themselves into a juggernaut for 40 minutes against Wales, having no problem finding the scoreline unlike....Ireland.

On paper, with home advantage, an Ireland win. In practice, if the right England turn up could be a brutal epic with Ireland winning due to penalties conceded.

Really looking forward to this. Thoughts?

Are you swords in disguise. Talk about reverse psychology.
Been looking forward to this for ages. Think there is very little if anything between the teams. Not expecting free flowing rugby TBH.

Home advantage just got England across the line last year. I've a sneaky feeling It may just work to our advantage this time.

Should be a cracker on Sunday. No frills, a proper war of attrition. Similar to the Wales game for England with the home side favourites. We can't afford the sloppiness shown against Italy or we'll be hammered. Again, this is too close to call.

A fascinating weekend that could see England stamp their authority on the Championship, likewise Ireland or even Wales could rekindle their challenge if they win in Paris...

The English battering ram could smash the Irish pack to pieces. Would be very surprised if Ireland can live with them. They've rolled over teams using brute force for years now. Its very effective.

Can't see an upset here. 10 - 15 point spread to Blighty

    I beg to differ. ( Naturally :emoticon-0136-giggl )

Ireland are strong and effective in the breakdown, Sexton is an astute and tactically aware fly half and O'Connell will be unmanageable in the line-outs. If it's a game of attrition Ireland will win. If England go for it and try to play in the wider channels they may have a chance. But they mustn't let the Irish push them too deep.

The favourites Ireland will win this and I predict a tight 17-13 scoreline in their favour.

Greatly looking forward to the Ireland v England match. From what I've seen, Ireland are still the best team in the Six Nations and I can't see them losing. Hopefully England will give them a good game, and there won't be a repeat of the 2011 scoreline when Ireland ran out 24 -8 winners. I watched that in a remote drovers pub in the Brecon Beacons, and had to suffer the local Welsh audience gleefully celebrating a English defeat!

On the English team, glad to see Johnny May left out - never rated him. Brown's injury is a loss, but Goode a just-about-satisfactory replacement.
