Beckford defo the better option to Maynard. I was calling for Maynard I admit, but didn't realise we were seriously in for a shout on Beckford.

Regarding your prediction - very brave, going for the current top two! Southampton are still on a role from last season. I predicted the pre-season to finish in the play-offs - I'm still standing by this. I also predicted Middlesbrough to do well, so the form of both these clubs are not surprising to me. But if Leicester start playing every match the way they have for four halves of the last four matches, then I don't think there's not a better team in the league. Wins over Southampton and Brighton show that.

Yes, you played us at the right time and took advantage of that - fair play. Not many other teams will beat us this season, especially at home.

Yeah we all thought we had no chance of getting Beckford so thats why we didnt really say much about him. I remember on deadline day when we got the bid accepted i was just waiting to here that Beckford had turned us down. But we can still get Maynard in January or at the end of the season

I wanted Maynard, but Beckford will be just as good tbh, i can't see Maynard leaving in January on current form, so you'll have him till the end of the season, congratulations <ok>

Blackburn bought in Yakubu, so i doubt they will want Maynard any more, but i can see him going somewhere for a free next summer, maybe prem bound Southampton.

Maynard is a top player and imo is worth £6m - he will go to the premiership (eventually) and score goals.
He can't take pens - that must be 4 he's missed now for us??
The sad thing is that we will not get £6m for him in January.
ps - also agree about the prone to injury thing - it was one injury - apart from that her's hardly missed a game in 3 and a bit seasons

No one is doubting his ability. Altough no striker in the championship is worth any where near 7M. He has had 2 or 3 serious injuries since coming into football and this is one of the reason why Prem clubs dont want him. Because the price is too high and the injury past is the only thing putting people off. Come Jan when his price tag will be a fraction of what we offered if he does well i think there will be prem clubs cueing up for him

    Leicester Fans....I don't get it.....
You are happy with your signing, but you come on our board bringing up old news again...

Bit of advice, just get over and on with it.

He didn't want to go to you and who can blame him.....I wouldn't want to live in Leicester either.

Like others have said, we are **** at the moment cus we have a manager that is not managing and is clueless.
We are praying that the board does the right thing and releases him from his duties and employs somebody that knows what he's doing.

This IMO needs to be done now, otherwise you will be right, we will get relegated, Maynard will leave on a free and we will be the big club again playing in league one.

    I agree with that.

For f*cks sake stop these threads about Maynard - he is not our player so why should we give half a sh*t about him?

We have never had a rivalry with Bristol City so why bother taunting them as well?

The obsession of some of us over him is absolutely pathetic - almost as bad as the Geordies obsession to find a messiah type figure to replace Shearer.

Maynard has been **** since he played us so I for one cannot see why this thread was even started. Even if he was scoring left right and centre I couldn't care less now.

    Maynard - good goal scorer
    Beckford good goal scorer

LCFC = family club with local support
BCFC = family club with local support

Good luck for the rest of the season, have no angst against you at all (my chiropractor is a BCFC fan)
