I think it's unfair to use his British signing's as a means to criticize him. There's a premium price to be paid for these players who we all know are average, there's a reason why Liverpool are a midtable team. Bentley, I don't remember the situation too well but he had quite a bit of hype around him at Blackburn so you can see why.
