lmao 30 mio. Couldn't make it up. Can't wait for xmas and hear what Spurs fans think of him. 1 goal a season = 30 mio.
The only hurt I'm feeling right now is where my sides split from laughing at the fact that we were able to abstract £30m for the useless mercenary prick Interesting stat on nufc.com this morning Moussa Sissoko - 12 Goals from 133 appearances - 130 starts Yoann Gouffran - 12 Goals from 100 appearances - 80 starts. On that basis, Gouff must be worth around £50m - maybe if Levy starts saving now, he can sign him in the Jan window???
I don't know how Sissy will perform for us. What I do know is that Poch has created more new Internationals than any other manager in the Football League. If anyone can get Sissy playing at his full potential, it's our manager. Watch this space, lads!
Its horrific fella. We've lost our midfield dynamo, our Mr 110%, the driving force in our team. I'm not sure we'll recover. I give him 12 months under Pochettino.
He's a fairweather player (and a complete c*nt), might do alright at Spurs. End of the day he's probs £10-15m worth of footballer. On his (all too rare) good days he had the ability to pick up the ball and charge forward; maybe if he's then surrounded by the likes or Ericsson, Lamela, Alli, Janssen and Kane he might do more damage than having played variously alongside Thauvin, Cabella, Gouff, De Jong, Colback, Perez, Mitrovic, etc. #justsaying.
I've said it before he will do well for a top 6 club like Spurs coming off the bench when teams are tired. He doesn't have the technical ability, vision or class to dislodge a Lamela, Alli, Eriksson. If you look at how France used him (bar his golden Euros spell) it has generally been as an impact player, strong runner as teams tire. The odd game he rocks up and is just on it - like Chelsea. Pochettino will soon get sick of predicting that. Perhaps it will be a watershed moment for Moussa and he will finally start putting the effort in, knowing he is at a CL club. I just have my doubts he has it in him. Saying that the penny finally dropped with HBA at 29 it seems so anything is possible. Its the way Pochettino plays with high press and lots of energy I'm struggling to see in Moussa
I think you've got to look at what he's been doing for France to get a proper idea of what he'll do under Poch's guidance. When playing for France, he looks like a £50 million player, and if we can get him playing like that more often that not, he'll have been worth every penny we've paid for him.
Yes but bar the Euros he has looked pretty average for France too. Even then I couldn't say £50m. Antoine Griezman was the £50m player in that France team. It could work out well for both. He never wanted to be here long term, and Spurs will probably just use him as an impact player which he should be good at.
Definitely, but you can't deny that £55m for just two of their players after getting relegated isn't good business.
Absolutely. The Toon had some bloody good players. It's just a shame that they didn't have a manager who could get them all to play together at their best.
